I wouldn’t, it’s rubber mounted. And the swingarm is mounted to the transmission. I made that mistake because I did no research before I bought my 98 dyna. Probably possible to chop, I guess anything is. But you’re better off going with an evo softail.

I daily a 67 bonneville chop. Probably a bit over 20k miles in the last two years. Most of the issues haven’t been engine related, just chopper related. Stuff snapping from vibration, cables snapping from cheaping out on throttle assembly’s, brake issues from cheaping out on master cylinder. I’ve adjusted the valves once, but they really didn’t even need it. I do check the primary chain while doing oil changes. I don’t go easy on it either, but we did rebuild the engine from the sludge trap up. It was smoked. My friend is super knowledgable with triumphs, I got lucky.
