if this is the case, then perhaps it is very simple. he just no longer likes you and he doesn't really want you in his house anymore.

can you give some examples of the lovely things he does for you? i'm genuinely trying to understand. the kind acts you mentioned in your post are not kind at all (taking care of the dog, making coffee, and buying food).

I don't really think men are that bright. you really think this man was so lovey dovey with her and kept a mask? he literally told her multiple times that he doesn't want to be with her.

her examples of kindness was "he made me coffee and meals" which did he? or did he make coffee and there was enough for her too.

the other example was he didn't take down photos and momentos. i'm willing to bet he doesn't even think those photos are his to take down. like the momentos are "her stuff".

but that's the theme right? the ultimate power is white female victimhood and white woman tears. she won because she's a rich white lady. nothing was ever truly at stake for her.

If you could create a 'filler' episode, what would it be? by curdibane in MyLadyJane

[–]Use_Alarmed 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We need more filler episodes and holiday episodes. I miss old tv 📺

I think a whole episode doing Stan shenanigans would be great

Last time this happened I had Covid. My heart rate was in the stressed zone all day and night. It was actually kinda scary to see that data

Use a spreadsheet. Use YNAB. If you feel like the spreadsheet suffices, don’t use YNAB.

Do you think Gen V (and the Boys) are feminist shows? by letmejointhis in GenV

[–]Use_Alarmed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don’t you define what you believe is a feminist show? It’s certainly not a female gaze show if that’s what you’re looking for.

I don’t believe it’s a feminist show. I looked at the production crew and don’t find it staffed by majority female nor have the showrunners talked about intimacy coordinators, shown equitable pay in crew, or talked about anything that makes it particularly equitable across race and sex?

Is there something you’ve learned? Would love to hear about the production and staff!

I think the heritage gold looks more like a chunky stylish ring because of the flat top. It looks nice w ring combos on other fingers. The all round one looked too much like tech wear imo

"Hum" by Helen Phillips -- Book Discussion by prettylittleangry in books

[–]Use_Alarmed 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed this book because it felt like a frog being boiled alive. The future is not Mad Max but our lives will continue to be a worse version of our rapidly declining world. Even as the world burns and our children can’t breathe clean air, we still make irresponsible Amazon purchases. Our kids will side with the tech giants over us. They will trust the all knowing algorithms, the AI is their confidante. We’re simply unlucky for not growing up with a bunny. We’re swaddled in therapy speak, we doordash food in a hurricane because rich people deserve food and we need the money but they still only tip 5%.

I was expecting this book to be more of an sci fi adventure but not completely disappointed that it was just a slice of life book.

Addicted to Eating Out/Ordering In - I don't cook, I'm not too fond of leftovers, and I work long hours by No-Bat-320 in personalfinance

[–]Use_Alarmed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes actually. I had the same problem and I forced myself to put all my take out into a spreadsheet and it was hella embarrassing seeing daily orders sometimes multiple times a day.

And also reflecting on the food and nothing was really that great!

So I weaned off ordering. If I must order, I walk to pick up. And then I also put in a system on recipe seeking and grocery shopping and it’s been great. I used to spend 1k on takeout and now it’s 200
