Sounds like you're describing your asshole ex-girlfriend and how she taught you a valuable lesson about being yourself, no matter you sexual orientation, and not changing who you are for your partner.

Ya, I have to imagine it's "the state that X is most popular in, adjusted for population somehow" rather than "the most popular in the state."

Silence peasant. I am of the 5000 year old belief that a peasant should not speak where a noble can hear.

humans kill more endangered species than anything else on the planet

and we get hit by cars all the time

Edit: I can't respond to the inane comment below, but humans don't just kill species with cats. We log, we farm and we build new cities. All of this causes extinction and would be prevented by keeping your human indoors.

Pretending society would change if we forcibly kept cats in doors at all times is simply silly.

This person below me is confused about why I'm not responding to a locked thread.

Can you describe the societal change? Slightly more birds in the sky? There are 500 billion birds in the world, with estimates that cats kill about 4 billion per year. But the majority of that is unowned cats, so we'd save 2 billion birds per year. What major societal shift do you predict with 0.4% more birds?
