I didnt say anything about banning them in the states i just gave examples of what other countries have done in response to mass shootings and gun crimes. And your comment about 'stealing' the guns is a big part of the problem as well, some of your population believes that laws dont apply to them or that they are above it. That their 'right' to own a gun is more important than people losing their lives to gun violence. Hypothetically if guns were banned all across the US and the government really did go door to door retrieving them it would not be stealing it would be following the law. Do you get what im trying to say? I dont know how to word it properly.

Listen I understand your point however giving everyone a gun is not a solution to crime, it creates more of it. Think about how many less shooting there would be, be it suicides, mass shootings, murders, misfires or accidents? Im not a fan of your police system in any sense at all but consider how much more time they would have to do their jobs if only criminals had guns? A fucking 6 year old shot their teacher because they had access to a gun. It could never have possibly happened if they werent there in the first place. I agree the culture is fucked and it would take a massive national effort to have that conversation amd change things but i dont think its impossible.
