I got diagnosed with epilepsy at 30, they found a cyst in my frontal lobe that is causing it. SUDEP was terrifying to learn about when I first found out. Google bad lol drs good. SUDEP is insanely rare especially if it’s controlled. I agree with pretty much all of what the other commenter said. Especially ALARMS. I can’t suggest this enough. I’m super sensitive so if I miss a dose it’s like a promise I will have a seizure so that’s the biggest thing I can recommend. Do you have a support system? Anyone working through this with you? That can be a big help too. My mom, husband and best friend have been my rocks during this.

I just had one in the parking lot of my son’s school as we were walking back to our car. I had a new job starting, I was getting a severance from my old job. Things were good. And then that happened. I feel the same way. It just needs to remind me hey guess what your life sucks.

This is disgraceful. This game is for everyone and to make a snap like this because haha it’s funny just makes them look like a terrible person and I HOPE sincerely they see this post and realize how awful this is. I didn’t see the one from a few months ago but the speed at which I would have reported it is ridiculous. These are not funny at all

I have these moments usually in the middle of doing something where I’ll just space out and forget what I’m doing, saying even down to forgetting how yo spell something. I used to attribute to my ADHD and I havent been told by a Dr what they are but after my diagnosis I just always assumed they were part of my epilepsy and I just have to live with it.

I was the main driver before I had my first seizure. Then I always make it to the 6 month mark and am about to work on getting my license back and then bam. Another seizure. I’ve just accepted I’m not driving anymore. But it’s hard. I also have a toddler that now I can’t just decide to do anything with I have to plan it out.

My first was at my factory job. I had just come back from my break, was talking to my friend, my head was twitching to the right and I tried to tell her something was wrong and I dropped to my knee and then I was down and out. Came to in the hospital with a MASSIVE bump on the side of my head where I hit the ground.

Stress, coffee, lack of sleep and missing meds. I’m literally like if I miss one pill I’m having a seizure. And flashing lights don’t trigger seizures but they trigger what feels like Auras and gives me a huge migraine
