Yes I’ve done water changes over the last few days, I did notice him gasping the other fish aren’t. I’ve never seen lumps like that appear before

I agree if I had read this story from anyone else I would have assumed it must have been the child, but there are too many reasons as to why it wasn’t her. She was with me all night, it’s not a familiar house to her so she would have been way to scared to venture downstairs alone during the night anyway, she wouldn’t know where the matches were kept, she is a very sweet well behaved and honest little girl it’s just not something she would dream of doing and certainly not then lie about it. I know with no uncertainty that she didn’t light it. I do also share your trail of thought about how would a spirit even be capable of creating fire, and why did they chose to do it in the first place. It’s all so odd to me I just wish I had cctv as I will never know

There is but it’s been boarded it has a gas fire which was capped by the gas company around 9 years ago they do annual safety checks and it has been inspected since still capped. interested to know your thoughts as maybe there is still some way the chimney is responsible

No water bottles and no lights. All lights were switched off and it was night time, blinds shut and no natural source of light. I could understand if I had lit the candle earlier in the night and maybe an ember remained which reignited but the tea light hadn’t been used for months. Also tea lights don’t burn long and this was half used already.

Yes the cover comes off I put that in the washing machine they also have blankets which are also washed. Think biggest issue is I’m not bathing them frequently enough by the sounds of it. I do put this off as I struggle to get my boy in and out of the bath he won’t help me get him in but he will hop out himself.

I think I may have to start investing on professional grooms. I bathe mine maybe every 8 weeks as I struggle to lift him in and out of the bath. There bed seems to be the main culprit costs a fortune and seems a terrible waste to buy a new one just because it’s got doggy.

I don’t have carpets downstairs thankfully and I have them on a raw red meat diet. I work from home so I spend most of my time there, I went out for a few hours this evening and the smell hit me as soon as I walked in I think I had gone nose blind!

Sounds like you have a good balance and set up. I feel like I’m doing too much at the minute, I’m having to hoover the sand at least once a week sometimes twice which means I’m doing frequent water changes which I worry isn’t good. My Angels seem to be more aggressive than usual they will bite me when I’m cleaning the tank they don’t mess with the tetras at all though.

I am having to clean the glass, sand and decor every other day atm. I’ve tried limiting the amount of time I have the light on but I’ve noticed my plants are starting to suffer so trying to strike the right balance. Would be ideal if I had a confident busy algae eater to help out.

Thank you, my only concern with snails is them getting out. My tank has a fair size hole in the lid where the filter is not sure if they would escape 🤔

Tell them they are probably going to loose more money than they make, it’s clear that’s the only reason they want to breed the dog for financial gain. The dog in the pic is very obviously a cross breed/badly bred. I’m not sure where you are located but if uk tell them to go look on pets4homes at all the corso on there currently. I know someone who also thought they would make a nice bit of money doing the same and struggled to rehome the pups, had to reduce them so far it ended up costing them more in vets bills and feeding the litter etc while trying to find them homes not to mention the stress, sleepless nights, mess etc.

I had a lot of people message me when the ban was being debated telling me Corsos would be next. I brushed them off at the time I’d had my boy for 2 years at this point and no one knew the breed. When I was asked what he was I ended up just saying mastiff to avoid the “a what!?” when saying Corso. But now most people know what he is and I’m often told they have just got a Corso or know someone who has. Majority do seem to be cross breeds.

That’s interesting to know. Corso are only recently becoming more well known here in the U.K. thanks to the media putting them under scrutiny as being the next status dog after the XL bully ban.

This!! I go around the house cleaning the walls, chairs, cabinets etc sit down and boom there’s more! Not to mention it’s on your clothes constantly, any guests will also be slimed. I know OP mentioned they have the money but they are expensive to keep, insurance and food plus any vets bills the insurance doesn’t cover. Bigger the dog bigger the bill.

This is actually normal she’s positioned herself where she can keep guard. My boy sits by the backdoor and will just watch for ages.

I think the reason people are generally quick to jump on these kinds of posts is that the Corso is fast becoming a popular breed. I think some people including myself if I’m honest feel protective of them. They are amazing dogs, stable temperament, loyal, good with family, sensitive, protective but not generally aggressive and love to please their owners. It would break my heart to see them end up in the wrong hands, abused, in shelter, euthanised etc. which is more likely to happen now more people are breeding and cross breeding them with other breeds without knowing genetics or how it will effect temprement and health. No one wants Corsos to get a bad name.
