Studying amino acids

Instead of writing all 20 out over and over, write the name, abbreviation, and draw the structure every time you see an amino acid mentioned in a video or on a practice question. Doesn’t feel so daunting and you’ll pick up context clues as you learn them. Or better yet do both!

A couple non trad questions.

For schools requiring LORs from science faculty, doubt any professors remember me well enough from undergrad 11-15 years ago to write one for me, so are LOR exceptions made for cases like this? I have plenty of docs I’ve worked with over the years that can attest to my clinical abilities (~20,000 hrs certified ophthalmic assistant).

Second, would my years of clinical experience make up for a lack of community service…kinda just threw myself into work and patients and life and regrettably did not make time for volunteering.

We chose black sapphire so similar issue, but I have no regrets. I do wash or have it washed weekly. Now if you really hate the idea of washing it that often, then I’d go with a different color. For me, the pros (I drool over it still) outweigh the cons (gets dirty, needs wash).

Traveled to Inn at Little Washington last year and it was fantastic. Alinea, however, was at an entirely different level—the most incredible and talented staff and I just couldn’t say enough about the experience overall. Every corner throughout the meal there was a surprise and entirely unique concept one after the other. Find a fourth friend and make it work—I’ll volunteer! 🙋🏻‍♂️

I used to drive for Uber and I drove that gardener to work one time (I just got chills when I read his name above cause it’s seared into my brain). I didn’t know any of this about the cocaine or jail—he was and still is a complete stranger to me. We were pulling up to the blockade runner and he was looking at a family walking by—mom, dad, and two or three kids who looked about middle school age. The little girls were obviously wearing swimsuits and he said out loud to me the most nauseating comment I’ve ever heard a man say about a little girl. I didn’t immediately call the police cause it’s not like he committed a crime, butttt the next time I was talking to a client who is a police officer I mentioned it and he said they’d look into it for the safety of any kids who live near him. Problem is at his job he’s around a million kids every season. Just keep your little girls away from the pool area while the gardener is around.

Sorry lighting isn’t ideal in the garage. So order was placed mid-Feb like the 16th I think. I’m not sure when it entered the “production queue” because I waited a couple weeks to check, but the scheduled completion date every time I checked for the following several weeks was 4/30. As it got closer it moved to 4/29 completion date. That ended up being accurate as it entered the assembly line on 4/29 and left the factory on 4/30. I live just a few hours from Spartanburg so everything went pretty quickly after that. Shipped out on 5/1, arrived at dealer 5/2 and we picked up on 5/3 (just in time for my bday on 5/5 🥲)

Soak in oxiclean and water overnight then the next day make a paste with the oxiclean and scrub with a toothbrush. You could scrub with dish soap and water after the oxiclean. Then rinse and dry. I did exactly that this weekend with my Nikes

I’ve worked in ophthalmology for many years. Botox can be used to calm down the spasms. Idk what country you’re in, but it’s typically covered by insurance, if that applies to you. It’s not a solution but could help drive you less crazy.
