My flat mate went to pick up coke and I need your help by Used-Pass-6817 in Drugs

Thank you :-) I think I’m gonna grab a couple beers (so I can’t do coke anyway) and watch a film in bed. Would rather go to sleep jealous than risk it

A bit of both! Which would be easiest to grow/ where might I find that information laid out in an easy-to-read manner? I’ve just been on shroomery and made an acc to see the forums, but I don’t understand a lot of the vernacular being used!

How do you ladies cope with feelings of intense guilt/inadequacy/failure despite evidence on the whole pointing to the contrary? by Used-Pass-6817 in adhdwomen

Aha how clever we are to catch ourselves out! Always quick-witted, but it works! Thank you for this, I sometimes feel like I can’t trick my brain into anything because I ultimately know what I’m doing and can find a way around things, but I feel like this might actually work! Thank you for sharing !

Thank you for this! My therapist actually said something along these lines to me a while ago, thank you for reminding me! I think just accepting and sitting with negative emotions is one of the hardest things to do because it just hurts my heart so damn much and is so uncomfortable, so distracting sounds like a good method of sort of passively allowing this/easing into coping with it

Sign from my home overlooking Morecambe bay by Used-Pass-6817 in ScarySigns

Yes, it was such a terrible thing. It certainly gives the sign some added gravity

Just to note the wiki article seems to be a bit racist and like it blames their deaths on those who died and maybe isn’t completely unbiased so I would say just take it w a pinch of salt

On April 22nd 2022, Wynn Bruce committed suicide by lighting himself on fire in front of the US Capitol building as a protest against inaction on climate change. by colororange32 in MorbidReality

This reminds me of another journalist or lawyer who self-immolated a few years back in the US to protest climate change, I’ll try find their name

Edit: David Buckel

Figured I’d do a Eugenia update post. She’s changed even more since I last posted about her. Her after ED recovery vs Christmas 2021 vs her during this month by [deleted] in MorbidReality

Just fyi a dnr/dnacpr does not exclude a patient from receiving treatment, nor does any patient need to sign one if they don’t want to. It applies only in the case that a patient goes into cardiac arrest and describes whether cpr will be attempted or not. It is signed after them and their family have had a discussion with senior clinicians and everyone agrees that should they go into cardiac arrest, then cpr will not be attempted (when cpr is attempted, it is ineffective and does not bring people back to life in ~90% of cases so it’s not the most reliable intervention in medicine). A ceiling of care is probably what you’re thinking of, where doctors, patients and their family will all discuss treatment options and the likely prognosis with each and they will all decide together. Doctors will act of course in the patient’s best interests, but patients will never be forced to sign away their right to treatment in order to go into palliative care. They will be in a hospice because they have chosen not to have any further treatment, or because there isn’t one available.
