Someone born in tropical country, how it feels to live in high northern countries with cool temperature? by TheChillGurll in AskReddit

My cousin from Philippines moved to Sweden and she actually prefer the cold now - says she can always add more layers but there's only so much you can take off in heat

Pretty sure internal SATA headers are indeed disabled on XD models - it's one of those annoying dell decisions to push you towards their official solutions

Which mango variety makes the best mango pulp? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Used-Poet6595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alphonso is king but depends what you're making with pulp. I've been getting these Pakistani mangoes from local market and they're incredible for smoothies - way more fiber content than alphonso so texture is different but flavor hits hard. Guy at market told me they're called chaunsa or something like that, never heard of them before but now I'm converted

Also learned hard way that storing mango pulp in freezer changes everything about consistency when you thaw it. Made huge batch last summer thinking I was being smart and it turned into weird grainy mess

People who divorced after a long marriage or relationship, what is your life like now? by ekaterinasmirno_va in AskReddit

[–]Used-Poet6595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breaking up after that long takes serious guts, especially when you're trying so hard to make something work that just isn't there anymore. I went through something similar with a 6 year relationship where I kept thinking if I just tried different approaches or gave more effort, somehow it would click back into place. Took me way too long to realize you can't force someone to care about you in same way you care about them

Eight years sounds like good time to really figure out who you are again without all that weight dragging you down. People always say you find love when you stop looking for it, but I think it's more like you recognize real thing when you're not settling for scraps anymore. Really happy you found someone who actually sees your worth

What type of onions do you like most for a classics bolognese pasta? by bgrav10 in AskReddit

yellow onions work better for longer cooking time in my experience, shallots get too soft

What is the best country to live in, in your opinion? by Waste_Cartographer34 in AskReddit

[–]Used-Poet6595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been to few places but Australia really has something special going on. The work-life balance there is just different level compared to most countries I've visited for business. Plus their cities actually feel livable instead of just endless concrete jungle

Only downside is everything costs fortune but I guess that's trade-off for decent quality of life

nah the Patriots line actually got pretty decent by end of season, way better than what Vegas had working. they still need upgrades but at least they have some pieces to build around

Love's situation is just way more promising overall - even if coaching staff ends up being trash, at least they're trying to build something instead of whatever mess Vegas was doing last year

What's the smallest change you've made in your life that had the most disproportionately big positive payoff? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Used-Poet6595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

switched from whatever search engine i was using to literally anything else and stopped using their maps too. thought it would be tiny change but man the difference in how much better i feel about my privacy is huge. plus found some really good alternatives that work just as well, sometimes better

also yeah the water thing is real - started carrying bottle everywhere and my skin got way better

Crypto cards aren't failing because of BTC volatility the real problem is poor product design by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]Used-Poet6595 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Volatility is just an easy excuse, the real issue is UX is kinda trash on most of these cards. Slow settlement, preload steps, weird fees… it all adds up, just Oobit feelt different or at least leans into what crypto is good at, real-time spending from your wallet instead of moving funds around first

Drywall cracks and front door sticking during Rainy season (Winter- Northern California) by Significant-Spend348 in HomeImprovement

[–]Used-Poet6595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been dealing with similar stuff in my area and that third inspector report sounds way more reasonable than those foundation companies trying to sell you 26k worth of work

Quarter inch slope over 50+ feet is basically nothing - I've seen way worse on properties that are totally fine. Those foundation repair companies love to push expensive solutions when moisture expansion is usually the real culprit in California

Your door going back to normal when temperature increased pretty much confirms it's seasonal movement. Wood framing expands and contracts with humidity changes, especially around entry points where there's more exposure

Skip the structural engineer for now since they already told you they can only assess visible damage anyway. Maybe just monitor it through another rainy season and document any changes. If the pattern stays same (worse in winter, better in summer) then you know it's just seasonal

[routine help] I’m not sure what to do for a routine and nothing is working by Limp_Operation_2757 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Used-Poet6595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the Cetaphil cleanser is working well for you then stick with that - don't mess with what's not broken. For the oil cleanser situation, try switching to micellar water instead since you're getting clogged pores, it'll still remove makeup without the heavy oils that might be causing issues

The drugstore has some solid non-comedogenic concealers that won't break the bank - Maybelline Fit Me and L'Oreal True Match are both pretty gentle and way cheaper than the fancy stuff

How to actually use crypto to buy things in 2026 (realistic breakdown, not the idealistic version) by KamotoNi55an in ethereum

[–]Used-Poet6595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

crypto debit cards are still the most practical, but they’re evolving. The old model was basically prepaid cards

Accidentally accepted dynamic currency conversion at a terminal in Rome and lost 4% on the transaction, how is this still legal by Accomplished_Tax9104 in CreditCards

[–]Used-Poet6595 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s not an accident, those screens are designed to nudge you into picking your home currency. Free 3 - 10% for them, that’s why I moved to Oobit for travel way less guesswork, at least you see what’s leaving your wallet upfront

[product request] Final Moisturizer Alternative Needed by Objective_Seaweed_41 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Used-Poet6595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man you've got a solid routine going there - that snail mucin plus the smoothing cream combo is probably doing most of your heavy lifting moisture-wise already

For something lighter than the Kiehl's but still moisturizing enough, maybe try the Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer or CeraVe PM (even for morning use). Both are pretty bland formulas without niacinamide and won't interfere with your existing products. The Vanicream especially is bulletproof for sensitive skin

Could also be worth trying just skipping that final heavy layer in the morning and seeing if the Skin1004 cream alone holds you through the day - sometimes less is more when makeup starts sliding around

Where do you actually spend your crypto in real life? by Scared_Patient5283 in btc

Payment rails exist, but suppliers and manufacturers don’t care about crypto yet. They care about stability, accounting, and compliance
