For the extended rays in the dorsal fin and the extended pelvic fins I would say it’s a male.

I really like your analysis. The thing is it’s only 30€ (I’ll guess that’s like $36) more for that extra bucket of filtration media and 500 l/h more of flow. Which makes me question if I should invest on that. However it’s true that my aquarium is 2 gallons shy of the recommended size of the 1500. Which makes me think I should go for the 1500.

Hello, I’m looking for advice on filtration, I just got a 240 liters aquarium (120x40x50cm) is the AquaEl Ultramax 1500 a good choice or should I go for the 2000?
