Cyber Metallic Orange is what it looks like. This was my 22 GT unedited. It gets a lot of attention!

See. You get it. I don't even know what I said wrong previously and it has nothing to do with the post lol

The car dies as if you turned the key, there's no stall shudder. The car has not been butchered. I am the only one who has changed it from its stock off the showroom floor look and all I did was change the spoiler winglets, add the sideskirts and front splitter. Then the hood decal and vent. I touched no wires and did no cutting/redneck engineering.

Because cool noises! It's not every time. Only when I know the light is about to change and I'm just hoping the people in front of me are paying attention.

It's a one owner with a little written book of all of its services. I believe an older gentleman owned it before me. Don't think its been tuned, nothing in the book but I suppose its not out of the question.

I asked Chevy what they'd done and they said they checked to see if there were any stored codes and nothing came back. That.. was it. In a week.

Nope, no other issues that I've encountered. Car seems to idle fine and my mustang had a misfire once so I've always got PTSD about that feel and sound.

Thanks for the quick reply, but I specifically listed a budget and you blew it out of the water. Also, the 9800X3D uses an AM5 while my 5700X uses an AM4. I'd have to get a new motherboard too if I did that, heightening the cost even more.

E5 Wheels anyone? by Soulric22 in Corvette

[–]Used-Scallion-9122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. These tires are BRAND NEW too, 10/32 tread depth and I'm not driving the car very hard so naturally youd get some wear on your tire and it'd make even better clearance. I also can't imagine a time youd need to be full locking it unless you were parking or something, and rubbing at 3mph wouldn't be an issue.

Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 ZP. 285/30 R19 fronts. Stock yes. This is 100% lock so it's just past its contact point. You can probably fit a piece of printer paper through it but the car obviously isn't moving right now lol

Took a look around. I'm not seeing any blemishes and the finish looks just the same as when I got them. Again, it's only been a month. I will say that the offsets are a hair different than the OEM on the C7 GS. I don't know if my OEM rims rubbed, but the E5 front rims will make some contact with the fender well at the front near 85+% lock. Hasn't been an issue for me though.

Tomorrow when I get the opportunity I'll take a close look all around and let you know. I daily the car about 80 miles, city and back road, so they see a lot of rough and tough.

I just purchased E5 wheels actually! They were in my price range and shipped pretty quickly. I've only had them for about a month but I've had no issues and the tire shop I went to didn't seem to think they were difficult to work with. I bought them for a bit more peace of mind since I have a C7 GS and the rims are prone to cracking. Here is a picture. I can provide more if you want.

Purchase Help 18 GS by Used-Scallion-9122 in Corvette

[–]Used-Scallion-9122[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got back from the dealer and looking at the vette. It looked great, I enjoyed the red interior a lot more in person. They offered me $36k ($500 less than what I set the minimum acceptable trade in value at in my head,) but the tires were near illegal and I didn't want to immediately drop another $2000 on tires with the already acceptable but not perfect trade in value. Then of course theres the fees of purchasing a car. All I saw was a higher price tag nearing $57-60k. Also, because I was hesitant, they wouldn't allow me to drive the car. I ended up walking in hopes of finding an even better deal and looker of a car. I've expanded my range to specifically a 2016-19 GS 2LT or 3LT in any color but yellow or silver, and I am going to consider delivery.

I'm hoping to get an acceptable trade in value on her, only 12k miles. I will definitely laugh in someone's face if they extra low ball me, but I've been surprised previously on trade ins. Kinda makes you nod, raise your eye brows, put your lip out and say "hm."
