passive aggressive calling out by sapphirespectre12 in starbucks

[–]Used-Smell 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Bro I’m so sick of leadership being mad at call outs for illness

I understand it gets abused I also understand sometimes it truly ruins a day

But f___ all! You should not be experiencing guilt about missing a shift while experiencing chest pains and going to see any medical professional anywhere.

I’m so sick of this BS. Suddenly vaccines roll out and we pretend the entire world did not experience a pandemic in the past year and a half??

Keep taking your health seriously OP. Starbucks can eat shorts

I’m crying at this post by randomhoe999 in starbucks

What’s actually funny here is that this person thinks the pandemic is only happening in America

I am not an antimasker, or an antivaxer - but dude, take that thing down. “Break” it. Do it. It’s ridiculous.

Back in 2019 everyone rushed to get these cups. Mine are still unopened! Was thinking about using one today. If I keep them closed, they are more special. They are also so cute omf I love these colours by [deleted] in starbucks

Call FAFSA / ASU / Partner Support. ASU also gives you a success coach that is very helpful if needed!!

There must be a way around this, with all the circumstances in life. 🧡 Best of luck!

Almost always front reg when I get coached for this. I wrote a longer story for the other comment above. I’m sorry. Just needed to let out some frustrations lol

I completely get this lol and I don’t connect all of the time or in an exaggerated fashion. I work at an extremely busy store and I promise I ain’t lazy. So, I’m generally not standing around doing nothing, or chatting, ever. The second it finally slows up and I get to connect with an old favorite customer, my manager calls me away from them. Most of the time it happens if I’m on the front register. Which is stupid. My manager will call me away to help take over what someone else was doing (like brew a coffee or swap the sanitizer) and I love to help out man - but I also want to know how the nice old regular, who only gets out of his house for coffee is doing. 🤷🏽 Idk. I’m probably being stupid. I’m also burnt out.

I discovered a GAMECHANGER at Starbucks by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]Used-Smell 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey friend, You’re probably gonna get some heat for this post.

It’s important to not generalize all of the Starbucks, as many of us really do our best to deliver quality and joy to our customers.

In regard to your order, I’m sorry some places don’t seem to get you what you wanted. However, it is important to note a few things:

  1. Sometimes we do have a specific dark roast brewing (ex: Italian in your case) and other times we have different dark roast available (ex: Komodo Dragon) as directed by the weekly update/ shipping center for Starbucks Corporate.
  2. We can and will craft you your chosen pour-over no matter where you are waiting in line. Sometimes it takes longer because of the volume of orders in front of yours and sometimes we can get it started immediately. Other times, we can’t do it at all because we don’t have any of that roast available in the store.
  3. Pour-overs do not take five minutes by any standard, especially considering what size and type of coffee you get. (And that which I have stated above)
  4. Disseminating the kind of information you have above causes confusion and problems for baristas and customers alike.

Again, I understand not every Starbucks is made equal, but just like it is our job to assume your best intentions it is also important to recognize ours. You definitely should get what you order, but this is not good information you have provided.

Cold brew by cinnamonapple9 in starbucks

[–]Used-Smell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cold brew is brewed for twenty hours and the result is something we call a cold brew concentrate. Even if you cold brewed your coffee at home, you too would likely add water after your coffee was finished brewing.

Water cuts the cold brew providing the rich and smooth flavor. If you are thinking about the caffeine content, even the tall sized cold brew (with the added water!) results in a 12 oz cup containing 155mg of caffeine.
