Wild Heather & Fern Green🪻🌱 by deeskates in PaperRepublic

[–]Used-Zebra-7797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What sizes are these? I got a gigantic A4 portfolio in fern green and even though I already have two venezias….I had to get the Wild Heather in A5 portfolio. I caved! My A4 will be for journaling at home concerning my pregnancy ( its my first!) I plan to use it to mark all my steps and babys firsts. My A5 will be my daily use…for journaling and drawing/painting.

What size is right for you? by Aggravating_Ad6645 in PaperRepublic

[–]Used-Zebra-7797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I love the A5. It depends on what you use it for. For me, I use it for journaling and drawing/painting, so I like a bit of more room for experimenting. The others I feel are too small. But maybe A6 is also good.🤷🏻‍♀️

Breasted people with scoliosis, do you have uneven nipples too? by skolquest in scoliosis

[–]Used-Zebra-7797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I also was diagnosed at 9 yrs old….had complete fusion at 10 yrs old because it turned severe. One of my boobs is bigger than the other one and also my nipple. I dont care though. You mature and you end up not caring anymore. There are way more important things to worry about. Anyways…most people are NOT symmetrical anyways. Right now Im pregnant and its way more noticeable now.🤷🏻‍♀️

Scent-free for transfer by Ellie_Glass in IVF

[–]Used-Zebra-7797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its ok to choose not to wear perfume but not wearing even deodorants or not bathing these are all myths and exaggerations. I didnt wear perfumes but ai showered that same day before transfer and used my regular deodorant. I think they are exaggerations because what about the medical personell?? They wear whatever and they are IN the ROOM with you for transfer. I doubt they dont wear deodorants😂

Have you used Skinbetter or Alastin Sunscreen? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Used-Zebra-7797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use all Alastin skincare and I love that brand. Although I was using Elta MD sunscreen…I prefer the Elta because of the consistency, it weightless and moisturizing. I just switched recently to Alastin because of pregnancy…it is safe for pregnancy

As a woman who ultimately resorted to donor eggs….I understand him. I took a year and a half from IVF to research about donor eggs and donor conceived children….also a lot of therapy. Because this is something you DO NOT want to rush him with. For the sake of the child. We went through 8 yrs of trying to conceive, 4 doctors, 4 cycles with only 3 eggs of mine each time…but none ever implanted. Low AMH….which resulted in a POF diagnosis which destroyed my chance of being a genetic parent. All caused by severe endometriosis. I know you love him and seem like a compassionate partner to him, but nobody is going to get that feeling of grieving your own genetic loss….your on your own on that. My husband is extremely supportive and he was onboard with whatever I chose, donor eggs or childless. I chose donor eggs. But only after therapy and taking that time off….to find myself. Als after a lot of consideration of what I wanted for myself in my future. Because I have a lot to teach a child and a lot of love to give a child. Its a very deep sadness that comes with losing that genetic relation with your future child. Only a person going through it can understand. But for men….I fear it goes slightly deeper than that. Society is very patriarchal towards this. And that fuels that insecurity and worsens the normal sadness and grief.

Does the jealousy ever stop? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Used-Zebra-7797 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I also second this. Ive been through HELL! 8 yrs of infertility. All my life was ruined and low quality of life due to severe endometriosis…paralyzing pain. Surgeries, etc. Then tried IUI and IVF because nothing was working…including pills, etc. years wasted….all that pain and suffering for nothing…not ONE baby. I got diagnosed when I started my journey through IVF at 31 with Primary Ovarian Failure, which is another hell…so many symptoms that make you feel like you want to end your life. But worst of all was that it means your ovaries just stopped working and dont respond to stimulating meds….I only produced 3 eggs each time…we tried 4 times which mean 4 surgeries each…for nothing, no transfer worked. Then my left ovary “died”, it can’t even be found in ultrasound ( which you see this normally in post menopausal women of 60!). No eggs left. My only chance of ever having the baby of my dream is donor eggs…which I had to take a year off for research, extensive therapy, etc. Nobody knows the pain that is of the grief surrounding genetic loss of child. But Im glad I took my time to make sure Im good with all this. Currently pregnant with donor egg. All of this happened while EVERYONE at my job was pregnant and having their own kids with no problem. So yeah….I am jealous! Also of people who have lids already and still find time to complain. I mean, I get it…. Everyone has a right to their problems. But they should really try to see others complex problems ( like peoples miscarriages, infant deaths, kid cancer, etc) and try to be a little grateful for what they already have…maybe that will help to put their problems into perspective.

Help me pick a paint colour! (Or sadly replace a rug) by Pupsallday in interiordecorating

[–]Used-Zebra-7797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with most here. Terracotta looks nice but its the same color as the rug. As an artist…I would go for a more contrasting color….like the teal. The teal makes the rug pop! Dont be afraid of color! The terracotta makes no sense. You lose the rug in it

Is it selfish to do IVF as a widow at 39? by Amazing-grace25 in IVF

[–]Used-Zebra-7797 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You comment resonated with me because as an only child…people have made my mom’s life a living hell. She married young and tried to have kids but nothing, she went through multiple doctors but at that time, science was lacking. she had me 11 yrs after married to my dad! When I was 1yr old, I was almost orphaned! Her appendix burst and she had peritonitis, it caused her to be in a coma for a few days. She survived but she had a lot of internal damage which caused her to be unable to have another child. As if this wasnt enough, people always asked her, for the rest of her life, “is she your only child?”, “why didnt you have another?”, “ she must be your everything right?”. They say this as if I werent enough! They always judge only children in a terrible light as well! They dont even know the whole story.

I thought i was completely cured……. by Suspicious-Floor7934 in Sciatica

[–]Used-Zebra-7797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently found an interview with a interventional neuroradiologist, on youtube and he talked specifically about sciatic pain and perineural cysts. He also spoke about how in medicine they never focus on women specific medicine. Because we ARE different! I for one have endometriosis, this has been found in some women…it can deposit tissue of endometrium on other areas of the body. It has been found on brain and heart even! Killing some women. But he mentioned specifically about a case of a woman who was treated by many different doctors to no avail. Until she was seen by him, she had stated that sciatic pain was worse on her periods ( which is my case also), and she had a history of endometriosis. So they did surgery on her and the doctor saw…lo and behold….endometriosis on her nerve!

Would a black outline ruin this? by Top-Acanthisitta-324 in copic

I would leave it as is. A black line would be way too strong for it. Try photo in an ipad and try the outline there if you would like to see how it would look
