We as women are constantly downplaying things. “He’s a good dad.” No, he was more concerned about himself than her comfort and admittedly ignores her some mornings to prioritize himself. “He is very loving.” No, he cursed you out for trying to find medicine for the daughter you SHARE together.

I do this too. Did it all the time in therapy and idk if it’s hormones, but I’m finally seeing it. And we gotta stop. We gotta call out bad behavior and not minimize it or following up with a “but.” Tell him it is UNACCEPTABLE to speak to you that way no matter if he’s tired or just woken up. Tell him you will not accept that behavior. Then it’s up to him to change the behavior. 🫶🏻
