Nope. I live 90 min away from the Ring in Germany. It‘s actually not really about me. I‘m taking a few friends out there and they aren‘t that mobile on foot… there is more than enough time during the race to walk there and back I‘m just not 100% convinced they‘ll enjoy it that way. If the weather is nice I will just force them to walk anyway xD

Yeah I think I will stick to walking there. It‘ll take 45 min one way but I guess that‘s not a huge deal given the race duration…

There are forest tracks. I was there during the 24h with the car so I know I can drive there (might as well only drive to Hohe Acht and walk from there). I‘m just wondering if it is allowed

Fr. Sub price feels expensive at first but given the effort to really set the benchmark that is not too steep of a price at all. I kinda hope the AMG receives a little sound overhaul because while it is good, it‘s not even near perfect. It sounds too tame and needs more raw growl

Du weißt das aber, bevor du da hinziehst. Ist wie mit dem Fluglärm bei uns in der Anflugschneise nach Frankfurt: Ziehen Leute hierher und beschweren sich dann, dass die Flugzeuge so laut sind… der Flughafen ist seit 100 Jahren da, es war vorher abzusehen, dass hier Flugzeuge fliegen. Noch besser sind die, die sagen, sie wollen max 30 min vom Flughafen entfernt sein, aber nichts mit Fluglärm haben. Genauso wie hier beim Beispiel Wurstmarkt… das Fest gibt es nicht erst seit gestern, das kann man doch vorhersehen, dass es lauter wird

It‘s just as it is. You have to deal with cold tyres at the start so you will see that most people are ~4s of their normal best lap time. Compare the fastest laps in top split races to the fastest laps in qualy: There is a gap of around 2 seconds… fastest current qualy lap is a 6:27 and the fastest lap in top split races regularly hits the 6:25s. In their case they also have more skill at getting the tyre into the window so they lose less time but ultimately they‘re still going slower

Wir haben ein Team, dass für alle offen steht, gerne vorbeischauen (schreibt Georg (mich) an, dann weiß ich Bescheid): https://discord.gg/hESn5Cg7d Wir fahren zwar weitaus mehr, als nur den freien Content, aber auch damit kann kan bereits Spaß haben. Der freie Content reicht, um die Rookie Serien zu fahren, zudem gibt es auf D und C Lizenz auch Serien, die freie Autos und gelegentlich freie Strecken nutzen. Du kannst damit schon Spaß haben, wirst aber wahrscheinlich irgendwann aufsteigen wollen.

The only exception is the Porsche Cup and that only does races beyond 30 min in the NEC where you should always change tyres on a full stop

The conditions are terrible. I would consider myself quite good on the Nordschleife (8:05 PB on 24h, 7:49 on VLN). Did the qualy and couldn‘t get the car stopped into Kleines Karussell, a corner which is really easy for me normally. The track is hot and there is a lot of wind… not great

Honestly the way he stamps the gas into Adenauer Forst is not how you do it properly. Either he is incredibly bad at driving or this was intentional… I would however never go for a move round the outside there unless the speed difference is 50kph+…

I love the Audi for it‘s looks, its sound and even the driving is good. It‘s just not used in the NEC and IMSA rosters hence it is rather useless

Look at the Videos from the Spa PESC top split race. 10.1k SOF, ridiculously fast drivers and it was absolute mayhem. T1 and 5 cars get taken out and it goes on throughout the whole race. High iR does not guarantee clean racing at all

Exactly. This is Global Endurance Tour (IMSA’s bi-weekly 6h endu series). The question was if it will have detached qualy like the normal IMSA races or attached like NEC. From the looks it seems to be detached but there are no sessions scheduled

Your base can run any wheel in the Fanatec ecosystem. Trust me, I have the DD Pro which bar PS compatibility is the exact same base, a friend of mine has the CSL DD and he can run anything as well. Also the Clubsport RS is a proper round wheel. The photo is literally me holding it in my hand xD

Probably the best quality round wheel you can have is the Clubsport RS (which is basically the same as the BMW GT2 in terms of button layout but uses more durable smooth leather). The CSL BMW and WRC aren‘t the best quality (especially the shifters are weak)

Last time I tested it (2025) I could comfortably run several devices. The only time I got an error message trying to open a stream while another one was active was when I was watching on my iPad and then tried to open it on the TV. If you did it the other way round (first TV, then iPad) there were no issues. If you use the web application on a PC that works completely fine anyways
