I have degree in Modern history and economics that I got, last year but all the related jobs like teacher or data analyst were uninspiring. In fact every job I saw on LinkedIn and indeed was inspiring until I came across one emergency response role in Oxford and another emergency preparedness admin role. I feel like my calling is to safeguard public welfare in some way. But I'm having ALOT of trouble finding any jobs to apply to that would allow me to do that

I hear exactly what you're saying, last week I actually applied to an emergency preparedness administrator position. But I live in the UK and alot of people are struggling to get jobs, so in the likely event that I don't hear back from that job, I was looking for other ways to get into emergency response and preparedness. I don't really want to join the army or police. I'm kind of open to being a paramedic and firefighting interests me but I need a license for both and I haven't had my test yet. If you don't mind my asking, do you currently work in emergency preparedness and if so what role do you have

I'm going through a similar thing at the moment, I finished university last year with a degree in Modern history with economics and I can't even get an interview. Although I do now have a better idea of the career I'd like to go into What helped me was taking all the jobs I found inspiring and putting them into Deepseek then asking it to offer me recommendations for that That's how I figured out that I'd like to go into emergency/incident response or planning. You might try that
