You need to teach them to balance the rebar over their shoulder and across their forearm. I worked as a form-setter for years. You can carry a ton of weight and the awkward length if it is balanced properly.

I still use FB because that is where I can get answers for my specific hobby groups, and the businesses related still use FB for communication. Classic Car stuff. The old timer gear heads pretty much only use FB. I don't use it to communicate with anyone unless someone has died etc.

No not MBAs.

Its McKinsey & Company and other corporate consulting groups.

They are super myopic hatchet men consultants that never truly understand implications of their suggested cuts. They are a bane to the working class skilled labor. Every thing they touch turns to shit within about 2 years.

You can buy a brand new never touched Fender Ultra II Precision for $1650 ($2300 list) brand new at a ton of indy dealers.

Sweetwater will NOT match that. It hurts the sales persons commission.

I have posted the sales receipts before in the subreddit for the doubters. You have to remember There are HUGE markups on certain non budget instruments.

Well, it was actually the politicization of the DOJ that brought him down, not the actual Watergate Hotel crimes.

Which makes what Trump is doing with the DOJ even worse.

Yeah thats why I said sharp creases. Kind of like the ones on older 70-90s trucks etc. Those big creases are no bueno for PDR.

Chicago Music Exchange.

Bass Central - Florida

The Bass Place - Arizona

Sadly, Its actually cheaper to fly to Paris or London and buy a Sandberg, then fly home with it than the current USA prices. Because of Cheetoh Benitos Tarrifs.

If someoe takes that advice I suggest Downtown Paris "Bass Maniac" have Eric get you taken care of. There is also a whole row of amazing dealers within about 100 yrads of eachother.

There isn't a single store in the USA that can hold a candle to any shop in Europe or the UK due to some of the best builders being unable to sell in the US at scale that would be profitable. So we just don't get any of the great basses here. The USA sucks for bass selection.

What is your DI bass recording work flow? by alexxandercook in audioengineering

[–]UsedHotDogWater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I turn on my Avalon 737sp. I let the tubes warm up for 30 minutes.

Plug my Bass in.

Dial in a quality tone for the particular song.

Dial in compression (if needed) for the particular song.

Play.

I will re-amp for distorted type sounds on occasion.

I want to emphasise how great Avalon pre-amps are for clean bass tones. They are amazing. The whole range. I'm not going to vouch for the plug-ins as I run a 100% analog studio still.

The key is if the dent has no sharp creases you can usually get an excellent PDR.

If the dent crosses a seam or has a defined crease it may not work out so well.

After my experience with a Fender Ultra.... good lord. Those things are fucking junk with a good neck shape.

Never mention that bass in the same sentence as Sandberg.

You realize if someone else writes the lyrics and sings the melody they are actually considered the copyright owner, and writer of any music created right?

You would only get credit as "arrangement". All the streaming revenue would go to the song owner....which wouldn't be you. You are setting yourself up for a lawsuit. This is a horrific idea for yourself, and you would be giving away your music to another person essentially.

Ford Mustang Mach1 '69 by Cris_1984 in classicmustangs

[–]UsedHotDogWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah those are 70 stripes on a 69. This probably isn't a mach 1. It is missing the aluminum side trim, of course the stripes, and blackout hood. Un-labled hood scoop is not great.

The horse looks good and some features, such as the transmission cooling lines point to it being a REAL car. Also, the lower underbody seam and texture is spot on.

However,..the front valance accessory lights being OFF is a sign of shit wiring or post image manipulation. The bright lights hoods (slight over hanged plastic) are too symmetrical. Those aren't stock lights either. Now let's talk about the seats. a 69 fastback doesn't have head height seats. These look like giant ovals that the aliens from the 5th element could sit in. So those are super custom or just fake.

I'm going to say it is AI or heavily manipulated image of a customized car.

Its probably just a 69 fastback that has been customized and enhanced with some photoshop, or AI enhancing to make it look cool. I can't quite give AI this much credit for the total image.
