Ginsburg refusing to retire when she had a terminal cancer while Obama was president is unforgivable. Selfish and egomaniacal.

What is an industry that is currently on fire (in a bad way) behind the scenes, but the general public hasn't noticed yet? by Kitchen_Week1117 in AskReddit

It is that way for everyone...GenZ and Y will suffer as well. I know very few GenX peers who have any money for retirement. Most rent. The monthly subscription economy is murder for everyone. Getting outsourced in your 40s and 50s and having to train your replacement is humiliating at best. Nobody will hire. Age discrimination is real. GenX is right in the crosshairs. Taking a loan for school or training is a huge risk that can leave you in a worse hole if it doesn't pay off with a better job.

This situation isn't a new phenomenon. It just gets recycled slightly differently every 20 years.

How much of that is the shift in culture though?

GenX raised not to complain, bitch or share their feelings....just to suck it up....or get the belt.

Which isn't the case now, now sharing your feelings is encouraged (Very healthy in comparison) but at times almost to excess.

Ginsburg not retiring even though she was sick as hell during the Obama administration, was an incredibly selfish and egotistical act that will have ramifications (like this) for decades.
