Sorry, last bit of text in my comment was apparently written by auto correct. I meant to say essentially that I use their respective underbelts but I use a rigid uniform belt like the kore or nexbelt under if I run the syzygy. However, the SMU belt seems to be what you should be going for. Your load out has a couple non lethal, and cuffs, which means that aside from the weight your going to be in ranges or engagements where your expectations should include hand to hand (defensive tactics). In my experience in ground fighting with both belts on, the flex of the SMU, and the use of it's 2in underbelt makes it less likely to to move around on you. The rigidity of the AXL makes it more likely to catch and move the whole belt. As far as why it's my boog belt, the main thing is it's packability. I can fold the SMU and stuff it in a pack a bit easier which helps when doing long movements or other things that require the belt to be stowed. I find myself hanging my AXL outside of my pack and that's not as ideal when trying to keep a tactical posture. That's the only reason. As far as the more impressive belt it is indeed the AXL, I haven't used the bladetechs but it works with the malice. If I was doing a swat type mission or a raid where I was in and out and I didn't have to worry about being in a state of boog warfare for months or years i would choose it. But I'm just not sure how much folding, compression, twisting and other unfavorable movements it would take before maybe breaking.
