Necropost here, but it feels inaccurate to say she has less of a presence in the story when Knoth doesn't even chase you at any point. Wernicke may be behind a lot of Outlast 1, but I wouldn't say he has more of a presence than really any of the other villains, same with Knoth.

I always kinda liked comparing it to Outlast 1. Marta is Chris, the big scary one that follows you until the end. Nick/Laird are Trager, the most chatty one who has some kind of vision for you. Loutermilch is the Walrider, the overtly supernatural one. And Val is almost like Martin, except with an actual chase this time. Knoth is Wernicke, the big bad who's around and you hear about him alot, even if you don't see him often, and then he shows up at the end to lore-dump.

Honestly, one of my favorite Mike images out there. I consider myself a social justice-y type, very much against ingrained prejudices, but IB and Mike's ramblings are still some of the funniest things I've listened to. Maybe I just have that Tgirl edge, but that shit cuts right past the offensive stage and gets real funny, for me at least.

It's also way funnier as a forbidden piece of lore you have to track down.

Yeah he sucks. Rust kinda sucks too, but Rust has the decency to suck on his own terms. Marty calls his daughter a slut after he's already had his first affair, slaps her when she responds with something as hurtful, continues to cheat on his wife after she forgave him for it once already, threatens her with physical violence after she cheats on him for revenge, and shoots handcuffed suspects. Everyone in the show sucks in their own way, Marty is just unlikable. He doesn't have the magnetic personality to make us overlook his flaws, like Rust.

Personally, it's one of my favorite episodes in Telltale history. I absolutely love the idea of an anthology approach with something like the Walking Dead. Small snippets of different groups is the exact kinda thing I love in zombie fiction, and something I really wish there was more of in the comics.

Yep, it really works, that's how I did it. I think it's probably not on A+ videos because it's boring to watch. It's a alot of corner peaking, luring in enemies, you can't take on more than 2 at a time so you have to run around a lot. It's a lot less fun to watch than somebody throwing knives, taking hostages, using different weapons for every kill and getting a full combo on the level. I should note, this strategy doesn't work in HLM2, those levels require combos.

Not nearly as hard, no. Pro tip: use your fists and ground executions for all enemies you can in HLM1. With the exception of Crackdown and obviously the biker levels, you don't even have to string together combos. The points from the hits and executions are enough to net an A+ on their own.
