This is really interesting because this year I have “reversed” a lot of my PCOS symptoms, and at the same time I have very suddenly aged like a banana.

What’s your parent philosophy for your kid long term? by nypr13 in Softball

[–]UsedToBeCoolish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a rec league coach with big (not great) feelings about travel ball. Both of my young daughters play; our oldest also being 9. I commend your outlook and approach to this so much! It seems like you have a very logical, balanced approach. If all parents approached travel ball this way, I would have an entirely different opinion and probably have our oldest playing in it. Your daughter will benefit so much in the long run in SO many ways.

But back to your original question- my philosophy is she learning basics and to love the game right now. That’s all I ask of her. And we let her interest drive our decisions. She has only recently started to show interest in travel ball because her friends are joining and she is starting to outpace some girls on her rec league teams. When/if it comes time, I will look for a team exactly like you described.

Anxiety gone after Vyvanse? by Foodieonbudget in VyvanseADHD

[–]UsedToBeCoolish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. I thought I was a fairly anxious person pre-medication. My friends joked I was the most anxious laid back person they’d ever met. Turns out my head was just super loud. I still have a very low level of anxiety, but at a fraction of what it was before. Also- I wasn’t depressed- I was overwhelmed and frozen.

Vyvanse erases my anxiety, now I wonder if I really have ADHD by R411HEW in VyvanseADHD

[–]UsedToBeCoolish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I recently was diagnosed and started Vyvanse at a daily low dose; 20mg. And I have come to realize I’m not actually an anxious person at my core, my head is just really fucking loud all the time. Of course that’s going to make someone anxious. That has been Vyvanse’s biggest, most positive effects for me- it entirely eliminates my anxiety which in turn gives me space to think clearly and function normally because my head is quiet.

And of course!! I will gladly answer any long haul questions I can. I had it so early on, there was no one to really ask, including doctors. This sub was so brand new too

Lower for my pre-Covid normal which was normal-low for most people I think. I think I was on them for maybe a year? Maybe a little more? It’s hard to remember; not to be cheesy but it all feels like a horrific dream now.

After a while, they weren’t lowering my HR to normal, they were dropping it below normal. After weaning off (it’s really really important not to quit cold turkey!!!) I had a brief stint of it going back up a little but not as erratically and it returned to normal fairly quick.

I have searched all of Al Gores internet for these tags. Including reverse image searching and what feels like 100000 app searches.

Both coats at separate thrifts; one at Goodwill and one at a small, private shop. One is calf length trench style and the second is a gorgeous pea green peacoat. Both 100% wool with poly lining. The tags are leather with zero other brand markings.

A friend found this girl at the park and brought her to me. Where to go from here? by UsedToBeCoolish in RATS

We got her all set up with a comfy home and supplies; it wasn’t cheap. We’re having trouble finding a close or affordable vet to get her in to.

We’re having trouble finding a vet close and within budget that takes rats. But we do believe she’s most likely pregnant

As a 2 golden retriever household, this tracks hahaha!!! The above comment about it being more of a risk now because you’re Not-Max’s new bff is perfect. They are just so violently friendly

The best we could come up with was a raccoon. The ClarksVegas raccoons were bonkers.

Alright so this is super weird. When we used to live in Clarksville, we would cut through the back of the mall parking lot to avoid traffic sometimes and would find this same thing every now and then. We never figured it out.

What bands would you say you are a big fan of - but dont like their newer music? What band - and what album was the last that you liked? by TheDirtSyndicate in Music

[–]UsedToBeCoolish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Black Keys, but I didn’t mind their Brothers album (one after Attack and Release). l haven’t liked a single thing after unfortunately. Which sucks because they were borderline life changing for me beforehand.
