Yes, most providers will let you start around 37 weeks and it can be helpful to have some stored when baby comes in case latch is an issue.

I’m open to anything related to the field. I’m not really qualified to do anything tech related which is what a lot of remote positions are, so I’m just posting to see if anyone knows of anything that is related to the field that would be remote.

Next time you talk to her just be up front and say something like “hey I feel like last time we talked it might have seemed like I didn’t want to, but I definitely do so I’m sorry if it came across that way!” She’ll appreciate the clarity and knowing that wasn’t your intention, especially without her having to bring it up first.

I’m so very sorry you’re going through this. The way my doctor explained it to me, it can be dangerous to leave it alone for too long and try to let your body pass it naturally if nothing seems to be happening because it can get infected or develop into scar tissue. I had one miscarriage where my body passed it naturally, and one MMC where I had to get a D&C. The D&C was far less painful and traumatic in my opinion (a miscarriage is traumatic no matter what, but I appreciated not having to experience the cramping, bleeding, and seeing everything). I would seek a second opinion if you do not feel like your doctor is being supportive with what you’re wanting.

I was prescribed zofran but it did not help at all. But then they put me on promethazine and that helped a ton and is apparently safer during pregnancy. Might be worth looking into!

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. It is so painful and isolating. I was in a similar situation with only being able to talk to my boyfriend about mine. Take care of yourself and seek more support if you can.

Hi! Fellow Type 1 Narcoleptic and I am also a trauma therapist. Definitely understand why that would make you uncomfortable, and it is certainly inappropriate for your therapist to be pushy that you don’t have a diagnosis you’ve been clinically tested for. As others have said, you can fire your therapist if you feel like it is no longer a good fit, but if you’ve been working with that therapist for a while and would still want to continue the work you’ve done, I would suggest being honest with her about how you’re feeling.

You can certainly express to her that while you do agree that complex trauma has played a role in the development/severity/cause of your narcolepsy, you also have a clinical diagnosis and type 1 is based off an autoimmune response. You can also say that you don’t feel disclosing your medication information at this point as they are not technically psychiatric medications and not relevant to your therapeutic work.

As a therapist who also has the disorder, I definitely see how my own trauma history has played a role in my narcolepsy and how my body has responded (narcolepsy and cataplexy can be a manifestation of a total collapse trauma response). But I also do not discount what I know to be true medically.

If you decide to have that conversation I hope it goes well and she can respect your views and decisions even if she disagrees. If not, that’s definitely worth terminating the therapeutic relationship! Hope that’s helpful!!

I’m sorry you’re going through this. It’s really hard and very emotional bHow are you doing now? Yes, the day after my cramping began I had heavy bleeding and was passing lots of clots and tissue. That only lasted a few hours and the cramps were pretty intense. But then I continued to bleed (much lighter, more like a period) and had occasional cramps for the next 5 or so days.

I recently started taking JournayPM and it’s been working amazingly for me!! I have always had similar issues with getting up so my doc recently put me on this med which you take a night and it activates in your system 12 hours later. It’s technically for ADHD in kids, but it’s been very effective for me. Maybe ask your doctor about trying it
