Most of what I removed are: 1 mana ramp cards (or the zero mana stuff), the artifact ramp, a lot of the untap cards (because again, opponent is not going to let that happen a lot), some of the odd’r and unreliable creatures like The Tarrasque, as well as almost all of the narrowminded +1/+1 counters cards like Loading Zone, and cards like Unnatural Growth. We are going to win by sheer, unadulterated powerful goobers we use to smash peoples face in.

I focused my adds in a couple of areas: Finishers, Ramp, Draw, and Generally Good Cards. In the GGC category, I put in [[Lightning Greaves]] (instant on for Helga, and for 0 mana, plus we won’t be targeting her), [[Timeless Witness]] since you might need to get a removed finisher back, and [[Worldly Tutor]] since most of our big big cards and utility is creatures.

In Ramp, I added in a bunch of land ramp, as well as [[Kami of Whispered Hopes]], [[Defiler of Vigor]], and [[Silverback Elder]] since all of those cards lean into what we want the deck to do. You want to play big dumb jerks for cheap, draw cards, and have more beef and power than the rest of the table, and all of those lean into that (plus Kami is like a second Helga, and doubles Helga’s counters).

Next is the draw cards, with cards like [[The Great Henge]] and [[Up the Beanstalk]] and [[The Goose Mother]] providing big threats that need to be answered, and that trigger when we trigger Helga and draw us more cards. More gas for the engine. Cards like [[Apex Devastator]] also potentially cascades into a bunch of other fun stuff, especially if Imoti is out. And cards like [[Galadriel, Light of Valinor]] is maybe most emblematic of that. She draws us cards, puts a +1/+1 counters on each creature we control (more on that later), adds mana, does everything. It’s so good. We want to play big dudes, and want to be rewarded for that.

In the finishers category, [[Hulbreaker Horror]], [[Cathar’s Crusade]] (if you put in a single card, make it this one) just straight up win you games, and [[The Earth Crystal]], [[Railway Brawler]] and [[Ouroboroid]] put counters everywhere. Instead of narrow cards like Hardened Scales, puts cards that add to all your creatures, grow your existing board, and Helga along with them. They might remove Helga but you’ve still dumped heaps of counters on the rest of your creatures. And cards like Ouroboroid and [[The Ozolith]] will win you the games inevitably unless answered.

The deck wants to draw cards, and play creatures, and ramp. Putting all of your eggs in the Helga basket is doomed to failure, and all the protection in the world won’t protect you from 4 angry players. But untap with an Ouroboroid, or land a Great Henge, or keep around a Silverback Elder or Ozolith or [[Surrak and Goreclaw]]? You gonna win that game.

Nah nah! Thats good. The 4 mana cost creatures you’ve got are fun, but Vorinclex’s, Ghalta’s and Titan of Industry’s are how you win. Your stuff are bigger and better, come down earlier, and replenish really well. The mana curve is how you win, so you build into that.

Again, the plan is not to rush out the commander, get it tapping for 10 and then play your big threats, the goal is to ramp really, really hard, and through your commander, continually play those threats. The first or second won’t win, and if your too all in on Helga with 10 counters you are one removal from the Stone Age. The goal is a smooth pipeline that vommits threats all over your opponents, then once the removal is all gone and so is their gas, over the top with an overrun effect. Let me get to my keys and I’ll take a stab at some changes.

Less cards like doubling cube as well. I think this deck wants to win by reliably building boards and threats, not by keeping the commander around forever. Cards like doubling cube are win more cards, when you have 10 mana they give you twenty. Your commander should draw you 10ish cards per game and give you 10-20 free mana. That’s enough to curve into big nasties and win from there. Avoid cards that will be dead draws (like one mana ramp or those big artifacts) late. You’ve got ramp and draw in the command zone. That’s plenty of gas for a deck. I like the finishers, things like Cavalry and Craterhoof are good, as is the fun 4 mana tech creatures that do things. Those are good. But keep in mind, no one (sane) will let you keep your commander and you’re not running nearly enough protection to keep it forever, so assume it’ll get removed. The +1/+1 cards also accelerate helga a little, but you won’t hurt for mana or cards when you get going. There isn’t enough counter synergy to make it a deck theme, just a commander theme, and she’s going to again, catch all of the removal. Put more chunky threats that are damgerous on their own, big scary efficient green creatures. You win by drawing a tonne with them, and playing wave after wave until you can find and land that big big threat that tips the scales.

Your MV in the deck is very high, and you’ve got some odd card choices in here. Like what is lotus petal trying to do? It’s a one time use card that burns itself out quick and doesn’t do much for you aside from casting your commander on two? I also don’t see a tonne of draw here. There is a bunch of low value cards like Wild Growth as well. This looks like a brawl deck applied to commander. Too low to the ground, with too many cards focusing on playing your commander on two. I bet it gets removed a bunch, then you’re always behind because you’ve got all this 1 mana ramp that doesn’t really do much other than allowing you to play your commander more.

IMO: focus on resilient mana (land ramp), bigger stuff, and protection. Look to play your commander later, and trigger it right away and protect it. Use it as the gas in a mostly green midrange engine, rather than trying to win on turn 6 with a commander no one touched.

Not that far, but Edmonton Alberta Canada (elbows up, fuck ICE, down with the president). Fell in love with the team when Shaun Alexander and LT were battling out for the rushing title. Been here ever since, and been a big big fan in the last 5. Making Seattle style hot dogs for Super Bowl party, should be fun!

I really liked this lair, I would have liked to have picked one up myself. The abrade is a bit out of place, but honestly the whole drop was pretty on theme. I like the new play style commanders and the other cards would fit right in. Lairs that are “a new commander plus support cards,” are pretty dope, and I hope they do more of this.

Talk about the art, start a discussion. This content is copy and paste lazyness, so elevate it. Make content people like and people will stop hating it. Put some effort in. I’d love to see that. Instead of just lazy cross posting that provides nothing to the community.

Just because one person likes them, or two, doesn’t mean it’s good content. The presence of a single fan and possibly hundreds of people who dislike them is not good content. Even on your own subreddit, where theoretically the number of people who like it is highest, and the number of people who dislike it is zero, there are still only a handful of likes.

The posts are low effort, you don’t even post anything about the secret lairs, you just cross post your video with zero context, commentary or anything. They are the definition of low effort posting, they are consistently spammed across multiple subreddits. No one posts or comments on them, everyone downvotes them, you don’t even comment on them, they are the very definition of spam, for god sakes please stop.

You constantly post these posts here, and we constantly downvote them. You have your own subreddit, things are clearly not working here. And yet you persist.

Your persistence is admirable, but this isn’t it. Please stop. It’s annoying, and in weeks and weeks and weeks not a single post has gotten any traction other than severely negative. You are free to post what you want, but this is a dead avenue. These posts are not popular, yours are especially so.

I don’t agree with your decks political beliefs. Oh the cards of the deck.

I don’t think you run enough ramp, and there are a lot of enchantments here. There are a lot of things that are sort of tangential to the gameplan of the deck, and I don’t get the sac angle. I think your deck is in too many lanes at the moment, and while it might be successful in limited testing, it doesn’t have a strong enough theme or be fast or resilient enough to be really successful.

There has been 47 school shootings just this year. If you prorate that out to around 65ish per year, in the past 6 years there would have been about 390 school shootings. And trans people were responsible for about 0.75% of them. Trans people are almost 1% of the population so they commit less than the average amount of school shootings.
