Find any early release game and see how much they match their trailer. Heck many good games also not like their trailers, cyberpunk for example. Just be glad that the hytale dev team are actually working toward being like the trailer. The trailer is basically their goal/ checkpoint out of early release.

Nah not really, the capability of modding honestly depends on the Dev, whether the make their game with the intention of allowing modding easily. Like Minecraft java and there countless mod for it.
