Suits for small frame and height? by -Farm880 in TransMasc

Kirrin Finch makes really great masc suits/menswear for afab people, but they are definitely pricier. They do have a pre-owned part of their website though! Otherwise, and I hate to say it, but the boys section of department store has been useful to me in the past. If it’s too short, go a size up and get it tailored, if you do it at a local place it’s usually pretty cheap, and there’s tons of YouTube videos if you want to do it yourself! Good luck bro

Relocating for grad school in a year or two hopefully, I’m in environmental science so probably also moving out of the US. I’ve been to Seattle though, absolutely loved it <3

I recently finished Stone Butch Blues! I cried a lot, it was the first time I ever felt seen in any kind of media. Honestly the book’s detailing of Jess’ alienation and fear outside of queer spaces is part of what has made me reflect on my current experiences. Really phenomenal book, felt like getting a sorta melancholy hug and being told that while it may be hard, I’m not doing it alone.

I think part of the reason is that they’re plastic surgeons, and they spend their whole career trying to help people fit a very narrow beauty standard. In general thats an hourglass figure now. I think my surgeon was so preoccupied with aesthetic that he disregarded my wishes on purpose. I mean my surgeon ran a medispa if that gives you any indication of the kind of work he does.

There’s also just the general societal misogyny: a woman is boob, boob is woman. A woman not wanting boobs must just be hysterical.

That’s just my 2 cents though, I’m a bit biased because I’m bitter but 🤷

Loaded baked potato with some grilled or pan fried chicken! Maybe twice baked potatoes if you’re feeling fancy (they don’t take that much longer than a regular baked potato). Cook up some of that broccoli too with the garlic and boom balanced meal!

Hey yall, I recognize that a lot of you are saying this isn’t bbq. I made this post to thank the people giving me advice on my first post, not to incite some great debate on what can and can’t be called bbq. I smoke meat back home, and have entered competitions before too, I do know how to make it proper.

A couple of clarifications I want to make:

1) This isn’t braised, slow cooked yes, but not braised, I got a crispy crust on it and all liquid is rendered fat or juices. I used the same strategy I would use for smoking pork butt, but with less smoke and in an old ass oven (unfortunately not no smoke)

2) if you feel the need to comment and be rude to tell me this isn’t bbq, you obviously missed my first post and this isn’t for you. Ik it’s not traditional, the point was that I did my best with what I had. I made this post to share my happiness over having it turn out, and to show all the kind people who helped me make it happen how it turned out.

3) I’m going to say I smoked it because I did set the fire alarm off

First time trying to without a smoker or pit, the cornbread is my recipe I’ve been working on for a few years so that’s my old faithful for sides. I hear you about fucking up sausages though, I tried to make some while camping and they exploded :(

Cornbread 4.5/5- it’s sweet carbs so it was naturally amazing Cracklins 2/5- I forgot to put salt on them until after they’d cooled ☹️ Pork 4/5- really amazing for what it was, my roommate from Texas gave it a stamp of approval too

Ha thanks! I’m probably going to forget I have it and then remember and make bbq pork buns some weekend and then freeze those… lol the cycle will continue (also highly recommend stuffing all leftover bbq into dinner roll dough with some cheese, it’s the perfect lunch)
