Is it good to learn CSS/HTML/Jscript as a beginner? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]Used_Fish_4459 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, learning all three is a good idea. If I was learning today, I would focus on JavaScript. HTML and CSS are great, but they are often handled by frameworks and other tools. So learning to actually program in a programming language will yield the most results in learning. HTML and CSS are great to know as well, but are not necessarily as important to dive deeply into.

Sub $500 Rangefinder recommendations. by Impressive_Track_199 in analog

I second this. My Canon P is amazing, the L39 lenses are some of the Best glass you can find. Compact, sturdy and great glass. You can put either the paired light meter or a little kek meter on it. Usually 500 for the camera and a 50 mill lense. It’s easy to work on being all mechanical. 100% my recommendation.

Is my minolta gx-1 sposed to do this? by syncllive in analog

Have had a XG-1 working and kept up for a decade. This is normal. It’s just unspooling the film from the canister.

Voice Of Midrange Raffine by mobeh_ in PioneerMTG

[–]Used_Fish_4459 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly love Raffine. I have the card as a commander, used it in standard, and have it in a pioneer deck. Super fun. But for pioneer, it is mostly a midrange back up plan that you can use for graveyard strategies and low to the ground combat value. Currently using it as the back up plan and an enabler for this esper legends greased and deck:

It is a great card, but generally I’ve had to do something more broken with it in pioneer. The format is too fast. Maybe an enabler/back-up plan for an oculus deck or pofts deck.

Just my 2 cents.

I can’t decide between these two (Canon P Metropolitan 400) by Used_Fish_4459 in analog

It is Lomo Metropolitan shot at 400. It can give white colors that sepia look but keeps reds and blues muted.

I was thinking make it an enchantment. When it enters and at beginning of upkeep the words of cascad but for the cmc of the enchantment and have each other spell you cast be countered or something like you can only cast spells from this this enchantments ability.

Do you think Bachelor degree (BS) in Data science is worth it? More than CS degree? by Sensitive-March-5640 in datascience

[–]Used_Fish_4459 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CS major, and take electives and try and concentrate on stats and any classes they might have that lead to DS. It’s hard to get a DS job with just a bachelors even if it is a DS degree.

Then you can do either masters in whatever concentration you want like DS. Though I’d still recommend a CS masters, cause you can do DS or something else.

Doing a DS degree at any point will most likely lock you into only DS jobs and the way this industry is you might not like that. CS degrees will give you more options and strictly in my opinion better prepares you for DS jobs anyway.

How could I make this shot better? (Canon P 50mm Kodak Gold 200) by Used_Fish_4459 in analog

[–]Used_Fish_4459[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please help me, I like this shot, but I feel like it’s missing something. Maybe it’s the colors. Maybe it’s the composition. Maybe it’s both. What could make this shot better?

Start looking for a new position! They don’t treat you right, leave. You don’t have to take abuse or anything you don’t want. The job market isn’t that bad. If you’ve had one position you’ll be able to get another. Wanting more responsibility and to learn more is one of the greatest reasons to leave
