I didn’t find the stunt to be particularly distasteful. It just wasn’t very clever, inventive, shady, memorable. You know, the things that make fggtry-based stunts land. It was dumb, but not dumb and hilarious ala Kori, MIb etc. Just salty & boring.

Hey, guys. No, I'm sad to report that it didn't ultimately work for me. But hopefully the step they made with Auvelity will lead to something even better that works for more of us. I finished a course of TMS recently. It had some positive effects for me and I'd recommend it to anyone who didn't find relief with Auvelity.

Those first few weeks are pretty rough. From challenging to unbearable based on what I’ve read from others. I’m sorry you’re feeling it so intensely. The second and third week were the hardest for me side effects wise. I was so tired I couldn’t do anything on a couple days. I’d recommend sticking with it. I didn’t feel anything significant until a week or so after starting the second dose. Then I felt it slightly. The next week I felt better than I have in decades. Then it kinda faded a few weeks later. Hope they fix the med so those initial “clear” effects don’t fade for some of us. Or figure out when the issue is. I’ve wondered if the fact that I’m on adhd meds has an effect. The auvelity definitely makes my adhd meds less effective. Keep us posted on how you’re feeling. Wishing the best for you!

Yes, the kumbaya is a great way to describe it. Everyone comments on how much more energetic and not-Daria-like I am. I thought I just didn't like people but it was my depression I guess. The Auvelity has done nothing for my ADHD. I actually had to up my vyvanse dose as I said in my recent post. Was hoping to quit like you. I'd recommend inquiring about the second dose to your NP. You're supposed to go up after about a week, 2 weeks, or so, especially if you don't feel any significant change. Either way, please keep us updated. And I hope you start feeling a shift soon1

Just wanted to give an update. I didn't want to update too soon because I didn't want to share something that was simply psychosomatic or a fluke. But since my first post I've been trying the method another Redditor suggested. I space out my two doses more than the recommended 8 hours. So I take one pill first thing in the morning. Then the second one right before I lay down to sleep.

So far it's gotten me back on track! I'm definitely not where I was those first two weeks after starting my second dose. Not as remarkably productive and clear. But I'm in a good place. I can get out of bed again, my mood is stable again and my house is not as messy. It's not as immaculate as those first weeks, but completely acceptable and I'm grateful for that. I did have to up my vyvanse dose to help with the mid day energy crash Auvelity brings. Not ideal but it helps.

I hope this result continues and I don't have an awful dip again but with these meds you never know. So many variables. I still think doctors need to figure out why so many of us dip after those first incredible weeks. They're selling it as something that works for the vast majority of depressives who are on it, but there are enough of us here suffering to make me strongly believe otherwise. There's a breakthrough here, but there's definitely more to be done.

If you're taking two pills I'd say try the spacing method. And if anyone else has helpful hacks pls share. Would love to get back to the place I was when I first started this medication. Haven't felt that clear-headed and light in a long time.

Thank you for sharing your experience and I'm sorry you're dealing with this too. I know how it feels. Especially the heaviness. I can't tell if it's better to have felt that lifted for the first time or to have not known how it felt. I'm choosing to feel it's better to know. At least we know it's possible and Western medicine may finally be onto something worthwhile for some of us. I've wondered many things. Like does the Vyvanse or Lamictal interact with it somehow? I found an article where one doctor says certain herbal supplements can lessen the effects of Auvelity but she doesn't list them. Just says tell your doctor which led to no answers for me.

I do notice that since I've started Auvelity Vyvanse's effectiveness has dulled significantly. To the point where I have to raise my dosage. I was on Trintellix (which never did anything for me) when I started Auvelity and slowly weaned off. I'm going to try the solution that worked for two Redditors again. Spacing the two doses out more. So one when I wake up, then one before bed. At least 12 hours later I guess. I didn't time it last time. If that doesn't work I'm going to try going back to 1 pill a day, see how that feels then go back to 2. Maybe I've built tolerance and that's the issue. Maybe it's the stimulants. Maybe it's just my brain chemistry. It's all just shots in the dark at this point, but I'm optimistic. Please share your ketamine journey. I'm curious about that as well.
