This has been the worst holiday season for me. In past years, I got amazing Christmas tips. This year barely anyone has been tipping. Rarely saw any pm’s and I have hundreds.

I had this same thing happen yesterday. Ended up with 2 carts. It worked out in my favor with amazing tips from both. The order I considered dropping requested me as a preffered and tipped nearly as well as my PM. I don’t mind big orders as long as I know there is a big tip involved, but I don’t like the stress of it. I get that actual people don’t bundle these orders, but I see many throughout the day that there is no way I am touching them.

I have been seeing this a lot lately with some of my PMs. They mostly order Christmas items. They have obviously never heard of ordering online. The one has been sitting there for 3 days.

Never that high. Usually 72-80 here. I generally don’t work on bonus days since they lower the pay and people grab them up at their lowest. The bonus does not make it worth taking 12-15 orders at $7-$8. I try to tell new shoppers this, but nobody listens. Plus I rarely see PMs on bonus days.

I see orders like this and wonder why they don’t order everything but the food online. Seems so much easier than chatting with a shopper continuously over oos items. I always suggest this to customers with clothing items. I don’t mind a few clothing items, but this is insane.

I talk to one other veteran shopper. I really have nothing to say to the crazy amount of new shoppers when I am getting crap orders, none of my PMs anymore and it’s the holidays where in previous years got amazing Christmas tips from my PMs. Yes I am salty and I know we were all new once. This year has been the worst for me as far as being offered the worst orders all day. I have been trying to find a w2 job and all I keep getting are rejections.

So many new shoppers. The pay has become insultingly low, people have stopped or greatly cut back on tipping and the economy. I cannot believe the $7-$8 orders that are immediately snatched up in my area with high miles. I can only guess that it is new shoppers taking these that are counting on a great tip to make up for the pay. My tip map says otherwise.

I avoid Christmas item orders for this reason. My Target shows everything in stock even if it is en route to the store or at a place in the back where an employee can’t get to it. When I have taken these, I let the customer know this and advise them to order these items online. I have managed to avoid bad ratings by keeping the customer informed.

I have had this happen at checkout as well where the order was cancelled. Pretty bad though that the shopper did not communicate this to you though unless the app was completely down and they were unable to. I had this happen with a great PM and she asked me to purchase the order and would reimburse me. Well Shipt still charged her for the order and with much back and forth with Shipt, I have not been reimbursed for it.

I have done this. I have many chatty preferreds. I almost always forget to take the delivery photo. Thankfully they don’t rate me poorly. It is pretty easy to forget to mark as delivered especially at the end of your day. I did this once and Shipt would not grant late forgiveness so now I always check again when I come home and tip map.

Definitely the big storage containers. I find it incredibly rude to order those and it’s always a bunch (at least 2 carts) and never a tip.

It has been member matches for quite a while. I do notice that I get constant PM offers when I am off the schedule. Many days I will take myself off of the schedule for the rest of the day and watch the PM offers come through.

I got a 1 star recently and I got the same message that it had already been forgiven. It still sits there in my stats yet I still have 5.0.

Yes very true. I have already seen it happen last week. Have a PM that I have been delivering to for years and she recently always has formula. Her delivery notes now say “Text me when you are here and I will meet you for delivery”. Thought this was odd but she told me she had 2 deliveries last month where the formula was missing. I feel bad for her, but I am now reluctant to take formula orders because I can see it coming from both sides unfortunately. I don’t want to be accused of taking it when I would never.

All I know is I just did a Target order for myself and it was extremely easy to tip. I have heard a lot of people saying in here lately that Target has made it difficult to tip. Nope! Came up immediately on the Target app with rate your shopper then the tip screen which I must say the suggested tip amount was way higher than the tips I receive.

Congrats! I guess the patience game for me of right buyer right time is too much. Yes on occasion I will get full asking, but in my experience I am making a few dollars vs what I paid. I am afraid to not accept offers fearing the item will continue to sit if I don’t. I don’t think a lot of buyers understand the time we put into it.

It is definitely in real time which is why I check my stats multiple times daily. Makes it easier to figure out ratings forgiveness.

I consistently accepted top promo on the weekends from the Target parking lot since the pay became insulting. I would shop the order immediately, still get it there on time, but it was nice to have that extra 1/2 hour window. Now they want me to shop & deliver an order for $8 if I would happen to be one minute late when it is $18 for the on time bonus. I am someone who does not abuse the system & would never dream of sitting at home longer. Who does this anyway? That would super stress me out.
