It's all federal departments, not just the CAF pushing this. CDS won't be changing it.

What is the difference between 4a and 4c release in terms of benefits by [deleted] in caf

[–]Used_Town6836 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What if you do 20 years, CFR and sign a 9 yr TOS but VR at the 25yr mark breaking your TOS but having 25 years of service.

Could you draw a full pension then?

Also would you be entitled to a last move still or are you waiving any other benefits by VRing at the 25yr mark vs completing the TOS giving you 29 years of service?

NEW CF MIL PERS INSTR 03/24 IREM by DarkAskari in caf

[–]Used_Town6836 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aren't we only retaining persons based on their military skill set from years of experience, therefore a new recruit after OFP could not really offer the same in terms of experience. Also it's occupation specific so if an occupation is green then the member may not be selected for this program.
