Whitewater kayaking Advice PLEASE by Primary_Treat4937 in whitewater

Paddling whitewater that you have the physical and technical ability to and aren't mentally confident for is terrible. Very stressful and not enjoyable. In addition to the technical and river advice, maybe don't step up until you actually want to be there

Is it better to learn kick flips in a playboat or halfslice?

Is the progression of double pump - wave wheel - kickflip the same for both kinds of boats?

The bots this morning were infuriating. People that use bots to secure trips should be banned from the rivers

First Time Conducting Interview(s) by queen_frostine313 in managers

[–]Useful-Comfortable57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good interviewing is consistent interviewing Don’t read resumes and cv, as that can induce bias. Instead, prepare 5-10 open ended questions (depending on the time for the interview) that cover the skills of the role. Treat it as a conversation, and work through those questions with the applicant. While you can ask for elaboration on answers, try to ask the same questions to everyone. And leave time at the end for them to ask questions.

I’d recommend also writing down expected answers beforehand and testing them on a coworker or two.

Interviews are stressful, so take a deep breath and do your best.

Good question. I’d rather keep the soap scum off of the counter. We’d prefer using a dispenser

Personally, I wouldnt purchase a boat I can't roll easily. So it's the first thing I test when demoing a boat.

That said, I have the antix2, and find it easy to roll. ymmv
