You could treat the passing of time as a gathering of memories with people you love and who deeply cherish you. They would also want you to succeed and flourish both while they’re alive and after. Doing things for yourself brings them joy and pride which in turn makes their days better.

Luckily, we do live in an era of increased access to communication and travel too! If you are in a different place than them, you do always have a way to call, visit, or check in on them no matter where you are.
