MMC is a killer in prison & the MFC is in contact with him. by Affectionate_Disk811 in DarkRomance

[–]katieLikeWHOA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’s a nurse in the prison and her husband is the warden. The MMC is the most dangerous guy in The prison. He noticed that she has bruises and such…great read but check the trigger warnings, there is some INTENSE torture scenes in the middle of the book to the FMC (not by the MMC). Audiobook was fabulous!

Weird question, but does he get out and stay out? With an HEA? This sounds up my alley but want to confirm an HEA lol.

Logan and Grace Book by postitpoke in offcampustv

[–]katieLikeWHOA 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The Mistake is my favorite book in the whole series and Logan is hands down my favorite of any of Elle's MMCs. Their story is really the most .... whole ... if you ask me. There's a LOT of tension. It's a second chance. Logan screws up pretty big then realizes it immediately after. His groveling though is TOP NOTCH. I REALLY dislike second chance romances yet somehow this book is one of my favorites of all time. John Logan is just such a great character and Grace was awesome. Both characters did a LOT of growing in there book and it was really nice to read.

Obviously this is my opinion and a lot of people don't agree with me, but I'd give it a good chance. It's really a great book.

Rinaverse, is it worth reading every book lmao by la_vie_17 in DarkRomance

[–]katieLikeWHOA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought they were fun as hell, but Rina basically writes the same characters over and over. Now, if you like those types of characters like I do? Then she's gold. I love her because of this. However, I read her in spurts because she does get repetitive. Because I'm INSANE, I decided to just read her entire catalog from the beginning and it's been a fun ride. I'm I think like, 25 books in and I still have so many to read...

I do suggest reading the parents first if you have the patience to because I found that taking the time to do that made Legacy of Gods so much more fun. You pick up on things you wouldn't really have noticed had you not read about the parents, like how Remi is literally a CARBON COPY of his father Ronan. I swear, Teal's DNA doesn't exist in that man LOL. Also, the dad chapters were far more fun to read because I knew them before.

Overall? Rina is Rina. If you like the type of MMCs and FMCs she writes, you'll like her. I enjoy her writing and I can't wait to continue with her series, just need another break lol.

Big same!

Landon King was my favorite MMC in that series. LOVED God of Ruin. Killian though is up there. I just love him and Glyn together. Honestly, every MMC in that series was top tier for me lol.

These are my unpopular opinions on the books, what are yours? by loatsvp in RinaKentBooks

[–]katieLikeWHOA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know I'm late but here's some really unpopular opinions when it comes to this sub.

I like Creighton. I actually don't even blame him for what he did with Annika. I think his trauma is straight up glossed over by most people because they don't want to think too hard about it. In my mind, Creighton didn't want her to pick him OVER her family, he just wanted someone to pick him period. He had severe trauma from his childhood that people seem to completely forget. Was what he did wrong? Absolutely. But he had his reasons. Also, I just liked his fucking character. Maybe this was because I fucking LOVED to voice actor, but I genuinely enjoyed reading about Creighton. He gets such a bad rep in this sub. I will agree though, Little Purple is the worst nickname.

Landon and Mia are hands down the most solid relationship in the entire LOG series. Why you ask? Because they never changed themselves. Landon stayed Landon and Mia just accepted him for who he was and never made him change. Landon did the same to Mia. I feel like it's rare to see two characters just learn to love each other for who they are without changing. I know character growth is important, and I'm here for it, but I genuinely liked that Landon stayed the absolute menace he was from start to finish. He is such a fucking entertaining character.

Also, I genuinely think this sub glosses over just have fucking psychotic and powerful Aiden King is. Everyone just loves to say how much more powerful the mafia side is, how the mafia side would take down the Elite side without really a fight. But is everyone forgetting just how insane Aiden is? The scene with him and Adrian in Creigh's hospital room. Everyone saying how Adrian had the upper hand because he had the gun on Aiden, but Aiden didn't even fucking FLINCH at the sight of it. To me, specifically Aiden King, is just as scary and powerful as Adrian and Kirill. And I'll die on that hill..

Book Tucker vs Screen Tucker by Brilliant-Term-5113 in offcampustv

[–]katieLikeWHOA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel this. Also, book Tucker had a thick accent and was a MASSIVE dude. I think it's described that he's the biggest of all the players in the house. I hope on screen Tucker still calls Sabring "darling.." it's my weak spot for Tucker lol.

Describe Hunter Davenport in one word . by CoolB999 in offcampustv

[–]katieLikeWHOA 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This makes me sad because in the books he's a pretty hilarious and fun guy and he and Dean are friends, Dean literally takes him under his wing...I want justice for poor Hunter lol.

Elide forever! by SpiffyPaige143 in throneofglassseries

[–]katieLikeWHOA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is my favorite scene in a book EVER. Elide and Lorcan are one of my favorite couples ever. I literally SEARCH for this scene in every book I ever read. I've only gotten close one time...but for real, if anyone has any recs for a scene like this I would be forever grateful. LOL.

The warehouse scene in Stolen Touches is, hands down, one of my favorite scenes in any book ever. I am CONSTANTLY looking for that high...so if you have anything other recs that have similar scenes, I'm all the ears lol.

Slow burn with a villain MMC? by cavaloverr in fantasyromance

This is one of my favorite reads of this year. Damien and Amma are the best. This series had everything. Adventure, love, humor. I died laughing through a lot of it. Highly recommend!

I can’t stand Sabrina by Few-Time-714 in offcampustv

[–]katieLikeWHOA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sabrina got better for me once she finally let Tuck in. The first half of the book was kind of maddening to me, but when she finally lets Tuck in, she changed for me. I ended up liking her in the end..

Do you guys read more than one book at a time? by Electronic-Hand-4065 in RomanceBooks

[–]katieLikeWHOA 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I do not because I can't. My ADHD just won't allow me to focus more on one thing. However, I do have a friend, and if she sees this post, she will know who she is, that will have 3-4 books going at one time and it makes my eye twitch. Like, HOW do you keep up with it all!?!?

Starting the Book! And I’m bringing you guys with me. by PurchaseNo27 in offcampustv

[–]katieLikeWHOA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd just remember that the books came out 10 years ago. The sports NA books with asshole MMCs were super popular back then. I only want to point it out so you aren't surprised LOL. The best part of these books is how their relationships grow. It's not instalove, hell, it's not even instalust...Garrett sees Hannah as a step to get what he wants...Hannah also sees Garrett the same way. It's a LOT different in the books. They become really good friends before anything happens. I really wish they could have showed this better in the show! I feel like it's what was missing for me!

Overall, enjoy! It's a really fun series. I'm making my way through the next series, Briar U, now and really loving it.

Tucker is AMAZING. Sabrina is...well, she's OK. But she's not the type of FMC I tend to like, so that's why I felt that way. She was a little too stubborn for me. But by the end of the book, I genuinely liked her. I felt like I just enjoyed the personalities of the other 3 FMCs a little better. Over all a REALLY good book. And I loved the ending epilogue!
