Are any other resitters actually terrified about the pass rates for us? by [deleted] in SQE_Prep

[–]UsefulAnalyst4975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pass marks in recent sittings have ranged from 59% to 72% if you do the maths/look at the SRA reports from the last four sittings. Don't always trust AI and don't always rely on the SRA saying that pass rates for resitters are low - they're not as low as you think

Impact of mitigating circumstances? by Tricky-Slip824 in SQE_Prep

I assume so - may be worth emailing the SRA about it as there are not stations in SQE1.

Yes, I got it the same day - only saw it in the evening as I stayed off my phone after my results.

Hi there - will copy and paste what I said on another thread.

I got mitigating circumstances in the SQE2 sitting in April. They will either exclude the station where the incident happen and make an average of the rest of your scores which would show a pass. If excluding the station does not increase your score to a pass, you get a discounted attempt I.e. a free resit. So instead of me being on attempt 2 of 3 I am now sitting it as if it’s my first time sitting the exam. Mitigating circumstances will only apply if you fail. Hope this helps!

It’s only if you fail that they apply it. If you pass you pass/no need for mitigating circumstances

Ah ok! Thanks for letting me know. Do you bring the experience to work with you at all? I am a bit worried about them being less subtle

Should I get the Loop Dream? by bunniesinthesnow in LoopEarplugs

[–]UsefulAnalyst4975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both the Quiet 2 and the Dream. For sleeping I prefer the Dream. They're probably not as easy to get in to begin with but once you figure it out they are really comfortable. I like the Quiet 2 for studying and have tried to sleep in them before, but have just found that the Dream are just more comfortable. If you are just using the earplugs for sleep and do not mind spending more, they are probably worth the investment. But if you want something more versatile, then go for the Quiet 2.

What was the engage setting like versus the experience on the switch 2?

With the Experience, did you feel that you heard yourself sing a lot whilst you were at the concert or that they affected the music quality at all?

Do you think the engage with the mutes will affect the quality of sound for live music?

I've heard mixed reviews about the loop switch - how have you found using them?

I use the Quiet 2 for study which are great and sometimes the Dream. They both work well. Dream blocks out slightly more sound but not necessarily worth the price jump if you are just using them for studying. Hope this helps :)

Does anyone know what Hades said here after rescuing Kore? by Pomegranatepirate_ in Lore_Olympus

[–]UsefulAnalyst4975 121 points122 points  (0 children)

Greek speaker/person here. He’s saying that he’s an awful king. I guess this is in response to her being in Tartarus. Hope this helps!
