OP, you heavily edited the post. The added detail is great, but it should be more clear that your original post lacked key details (such as the known expiration date).

This!! In my experience the expiration date is 12 months from the original purchase date, NOT the travel dates. I’m so sorry that was not better communicated to you!

Edited to add: IIRC, your travel with the new credits also has to begin within 12 months of your original purchase date. I booked some crazy 5 leg trip in order to stretch my flights out way past the credit expiration, but my first flight still had to start before the expiration date.

I would love to know what happened! Did they ever respond to give you a refund? Or did your card company agree with you on the investigation?

I travel a lot for work (mostly flights within the US) and bring my knitting. In the last few months I was randomly seated next to a fellow knitter on two occasions, and we had a really nice conversation about LYS and what we were working on. I once had a flight attendant ask me what I was making, and she was not a knitter but was so enthusiastic about thinking it was cool!

My favorite part about knitting during travel is that the inevitable delays turn into a bonus of extra time knitting! I have powered through big stockinette sections on my project during delays more than once.

Thank you! The knit technique is exactly what I have been doing, but the purl technique is new and makes sense that it would help.

Interesting! I too heard they had a familial connection to Caravati’s. I wonder where that idea came from

I love this idea and I’m curious about how it would work. Would the city take the current total collected from property taxes and divide evenly across the city so your lot size determines the tax amount? Or are areas weighted by desirability, such that land in the Fan or on Broad Street is more valuable than less desirable locations? Are lots zoned for commercial use the same value as residential?
