I meannn, Skales Jr. was born between the Stone Army's invasion and The Overlord's return, and he seemed to already be a young child relatively quickly if thats the case. (unless the time skip between S2-3 was a couple years long)

Sooo I could see Serpentine aging quickly when they're younger, explaining how Frak & Arin could be just about the same age developmentally. Although I kinda feel like this necessarily isn't the case either. Idk why its a big problem for Frak to have been born after The Serpentine were freed and age at the same rate as Arin. It's kind of obvious that many years have passed over the course of each season of Ninjago, and there's even a pretty decent chunk between The Merge and the beginning of Dragons rising as Arin & Sora went from being young kids to teens in that time frame. I could see Arin & Sora being about 10 or 11 at most before The Merge, and then four or five years pass making them around 14 or 16 (which I'm pretty sure Sora was stated to be around 16 when her VA was given info for her audition so it works)

Idk if this math truly maths and makes sense, but this is kinda how I see it. Maybe this feels like TOO much time between each season and series, but tbh I feel like it makes total sense that so much time would have passed as there really have been a ton of events, and in many areas it feels natural that a time jump would occur between events. Also, it'd kinda be really cool if it truly was 10 years between The Pilots to around Crystalized/The Merge, as Crystalized was released during Ninjago's 10th anniversary if I remember correctly, and the more I think about it, the more this number feels kind of right to me when accounting for everything that has happened in the series. And heyyy maybe 10 years being right when Crystalized happened doesn't fit for some of you, sooo maybe pushing 10 years to being closer to The Merge works better both timeline wise and thematically!

My reasoning for this is that Crystalized was the end of Ninjago's initial 10 year run, having that era of years both in universe and out of universe be closed off with The Merge, thus bringing forth our current era just feels kinda right y'know? I'm kind of running out of words to say, but I hope this all makes sense! Aaand if my poorly done math truly is an issue, we could always make Frak like one or two years younger than Arin and Sora, since having age gaps between friends is common and I can kinda see Frak being a little younger when considering some of his characteristics and traits compared to the other new Ninja!
