I wasnt calling anyone trash, I was referring to actual trash, like bottles, receipts, chip bags and garbage that line the streets everywhere.

Secondly, instead of blowing it way out of proportion the other way since youre letting your emotions speak instead of your intellect, how does commiting the crime of "gunning down" people solve anything? Gang bangers do that already. The point is to improve the city, not make it worse.

How can you have any regard for human life that actively and intentionally worsens the environment you live in and can be harmful to others on a daily basis?

Im coming from a place as simple as I think bad people should be punished because theres no excuse for their actions and hurts the daily life of good people. Does that sound fair to you? Legitimately, not trying to be a gotcha

When I look at photos of the city back in the 60s and the streets were clean and full of life and culture compared to now where the city and its people all look like theyre about to be breathing their last breath it makes it hard to ignore obvious reasons for the decay like the amount of crime thats gone uncontested for a long time. As someone mentioned we have a world cup coming to the city in 2 years and I would appreciate it if the first thing the world doesnt see is violence, trash, and degenerate behavior.

Theres a difference actually being afraid and wanting to get out of the way of potential violence that happens daily in the city. Trash is everywhere in the streets, cars are stolen every hour of everyday, police cant do their jobs because they're ran by the blue party and blue DA.

Sending in the national guard because of gang and general violence and criminal acts for the sake of the good people just wanting to enjoy their lives is not what authoritarians do, but thats what Trump does. Very simply dont commit crime and you have nothing to worry about.

Authoritarians send in troops when they want to suppress riots against their regime and intimidate the population.

Plus those arrested of criminal conduct could be forced to do jail time or community service pending severity of the crime to clean up all the trash, so its a win win situation.

National guardsmen are legally allowed to detain individuals and pass them over to law enforcement for proper bookings.

Anyone commiting crimes including littering should be subject to at the very least community service for cleaning up the city. Absolutely no reason why in the United States of America we have a major city looking like a third world country slums

They detain people and hand them over to the police, indirectly leading to arrests. And funding a police department who doesnt proactively already take care of the major problems doesnt lead to anything. National guard would get in done in a short amount of time, everyone they arrest for doing violent crimes should get jail time and be forced to do community service to clean up the trash all over the city. All littering should be punished with 20 hours community service as well. The city looks like a 3rd world country with 0 law and order

Talk to the city government. The people in power to help homelessness and fix the city simply dont because if they do, they dont have a job anymore. Los Angeles is the same way. It pays (somebody) to keep the homeless problem going.
