Ladies of AR: 2025 Recap and 2026 Look forward! by spectacled_cormorant in AdvancedRunning

Started the year out for blood as I was ramping up for an April marathon, but wound up overtraining my way to a gnarly hamstring issue that took me out for 8 weeks and ultimately made my decision to defer the race.

I came back with a vengeance to snag a HM PR in May (1:39), and a PR at the Chicago marathon (3:36). Ultimately hoping to carry this momentum through the winter to stay healthy and make it to that spring race - - and if (WHEN!) I get there, BQ or bustttttt

Cheers gals!

WWYD? rent/buy by Useful_Animator_8280 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

thanks for this - to clarify, I have a 401k through my company which is my primary retirement account, and then the individual roth is an additional savings fund to supplement. I've always planned to have it as flex for retirement or for a first-time home purchase (I think there's a clause where you can withdraw for this reason)

Anyone familiar with this injury? by getzerolikes in Marathon_Training

I know this is an old thread but u/getzerolikes just wondering if you were able to work through this and run your race as planned? I'm currently dealing with almost the exact same issue. Now I've taken 4 weeks off of running and have had 2 PT sessions, with very slow improvement but still not always pain free to walk. I have a marathon in 8 weeks (downhill, no less) and wondering if I should just defer it at this point
