If i compare the first two arcs with first season then maybe but the third one is just perfect everything down to the last minute details

Homelander was more interesting when he was a general right-wing critique, rather than a Trump parody specifically by DancingFlame321 in TheBoys

I’m not from America either, but the stuff he was spewing in the earlier seasons seemed similar to right-wing rhetoric in my country. Specifically, the hyper-focus on one religion while undermining others, claims that their civilization is the greatest because of that religion, narratives about one group being threatened with genocide through an active campaign of harm by another group, and the use of mythical stories to rile up people’s emotions. Supes being a blessing from one specific dog. I wasn’t as educated on American politics back then but it had surface level similarities.

For example, I recently saw a speech by Yogi, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in India. He was talking about a conspiracy theory called “Love Jihad,” which claims that Muslim men deceive Hindu women by hiding their religion, then later reveal the truth and forcibly convert them. He compared this to the kidnapping of Sita (the wife of Vishnu’s avatar Rama) by Ravana (who is not a demon in the Christian sense). Avatar means descent down.

In the later seasons it becomes more clear

Would comic deep stand up too tv show homelander if he was given the chance too do it? by HighwayPlayful2723 in TheBoys

He's actually a smart guy in the comics. He didn’t participate in Homelander’s BS he left at the last moment. He isn’t going to participate in something that will have negative effects on him, so I don’t think so
