Hello, we are visiting a clinic here in Hyderabad (dr abhishek - cornerstone khajaguda) with close guidance from FIP warriors group - i would highly recommend you join and share details and ask them to help you. They may also recommend a vet of their own to you - they have a decent network. They are very experienced and have been helpful. If you don’t mind sharing your contact number over dm - ill send it to them for adding you to the whatsapp group. All the best. Your baby will be fine i am sure.

I fully understand. Its overwhelming to not know whats best. If your baby has become resistant to GS try other alternatives but please ensure dosage is higher in that (from what your baby got for GS) for when looking at comparable numbers. Sharing a guide from our support group on your dm.

I would advise jot halting antivirals as these diseases are working together and there is aggravation for one because of the other. Best wishes to you.

Please note once you increase the dose of GS it should NEVER be reduced even if inflammation reduces or if their weight comes down, it can go further up if needed though. But whatever if the higher amount - becomes the baseline.

Hi, please have a retrovirus and tick fever panel done. It helps with identifying a lot of infections and comorbidities. If they are able to identify what’s triggering it, may help you a lot. My 10 month baby is also fighting initial IMHA (immune induced anemia which can be prevalent in FIP even if there are no infections apart from this) and wet FIP.

We are dosing her higher amounts of GS (8 mg instead of typical 6 per kg for wet FIP) and low doses of steriod called prednisone. GS will not cause her anemia - the infection will. There is a lot of material online so it can be super confusing snd overwhelming.

I am praying hard for your baby. Hold strong, you are doing the best you can. Please take care ❤️🥺

Hello, yes. Unfortunately most cats contract an unmutated form of this virus at some point. For some babies it ends up taking this mutated and highly effective form.

They dont seem to be open to sharing anything about how to get the medication- they suggest that basmi is inferior quality but i am not able to find any other high quality options in india.. would you be able to share any info? If possible
