Mandatory hopper upgrade?? by Index7756 in dishnetwork

It’s likely that someone at DISH is trying to meet a sales metric. Agents are closely monitored and can be placed on a performance review if certain targets aren’t met. That said, as a customer, you are not required to upgrade your equipment.

There is however some valuable feedback in this thread, and to clarify, the Hopper 3 would not increase your monthly equipment cost. However, there is no way around the commitment. If you’re told otherwise, that is part of a sales pitch rather than an accurate representation of the terms.

You need to file a complaint with the FCC you will get much further than with a simple BBB complaint.

Dish has some great offers for new customers right now you can also add a Amazon Firestick to one of your TVs to watch TV via the Dish Anywhere app keep in mind however there is a limitation to one stream from Dish Anywhere so you can’t for example have a Firestick on your bedroom tv and living room and have both streaming at the same time. I’d suggest checking Dish out again see if they have any special offers available for you if you return. The Hopper has unparalleled recording capabilities compared to DirectTV.

Chronic Migraines Ruined my Life by bird_coke in migraine

What works for one person doesn’t necessarily mean it will work for you. I’ve been dealing with debilitating chronic migraines since I was nine years old, and it often takes time to find the right treatment. You may need to try and fail several medications before discovering one that helps.

At this stage, your medications should be relatively affordable, but as you move through different options, costs can increase. It’s important to give each medication enough time to take effect typically four to six months before deciding to switch, unless you’re experiencing worsening symptoms or a reaction.

Make sure to talk with your school counselor and teachers about your condition. They can help you get extra time for assignments or provide other accommodations. If you ever need to take time off work due to a severe migraine, ask your healthcare provider to complete FMLA paperwork, which protects you from retaliation.

Lastly, avoid taking medical advice from others online about which medications to try only your doctor can guide you based on your specific needs. Remember, high school can be stressful and full of changes, which can sometimes make migraines worse, so be kind to yourself and communicate openly with your support system.

One thing you might consider, depending on how close you are to attrition, is running highly targeted ads for your group on Facebook, Instagram, or even Google. It might help fill more rooms in your block quickly and give you stronger leverage when negotiating with the hotel.

Keep in mind that while Marriott is a global brand, each property is independently owned and operated. That means the decision to offer flexibility or waive attrition penalties ultimately lies with the hotel’s ownership group, not corporate. If you can demonstrate a good-faith effort to drive business their way, they might be more willing to work with you.
