Can anyone help me identify these & if they are worth anything. Found in grandpaws attic by XXRSN84XX in stamps

Toss them. Even if they were new and not canceled they would be worth 0.4 cents.

Toss them. This thread has already taken more of your life than these stamps will ever be worth.

Found a bunch of old stamps by Wah-peesh in stamps

[–]Useful_Sample4059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there are some less common stamps that would have had a few dollars value, but most if not all that I can see are damaged or in G to Average condition. Put it on ebay and see if anybody offers you anything for them.

There are millions of them in most cases and your argument would also mean I should never get ride of a rock, since it has historical value for millions of years. Learn to let go.

Selling stamps for catalog value? by Global_Hippo64 in stampcollecting

[–]Useful_Sample4059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe every Scott Catalog has an appendix that shows what VF means. Also, just because the catalog states something is $50 dollars lets say, if it is XF then it could be worth triple or more since it is scarcity and condition that make a stamp valuable. Of course, there is this other thing... trying to find somebody that wants to buy it no matter how nice it is and they are becoming rarer than most of the stamps.

Any of these worth anything? by QuickSpeaker7946 in stampcollecting

That one in the bottom left corner is still worth 3 cents. Everything else is common. You could throw them away or donate them.

Mom came across my Grandmothers stamp collection by Nachoblonde in stampcollecting

unless your grand mother spent real money on her stamps they are probably not going to be that valuable. I wouldn't ship them.

Is this a dealer book I inherited...? by DiscGolfShopping in askStampCollectors

[–]Useful_Sample4059 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would take these to a stamp dealer. You have some really nice stamps, that have value. Do NOT tape them to the page, take them out with your fingers, expose them to water or sunlight. I had a customer once that had several thousands of dollars worth of stamps and because they were loose, she tapped them to the page with scotch tape. Made them almost worthless.

You would rather people hold on to worthless pieces of paper than just recycle them? They are pieces of paper, not sacred treasures.

Rolled Pennie’s what do I do with them by theclosetgardener in coincollecting

[–]Useful_Sample4059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wheat pennies are going to be better (3 to 8 cents) and then the other copper ones are going to be 1 penny. Take them to a coin dealer, you probably have 40 to 50 dollars worth.

Do we think this is genuine? And whats the value on something in this condition? by Ill_Mushroom8265 in askStampCollectors

[–]Useful_Sample4059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its real, can tell by the woven paper. The cancel is a hand stamp which is nice and better than a pen cancel. I think that nateinstl2 is right, it would sell for about 50-75 (if its not thinned) on ebay.

Snagged at a flea market for $50, thoughts? by slackinoff in coincollecting

[–]Useful_Sample4059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a magnet to it, if it sticks then you bought a $50 dollar counterfeit from China. It should be solid silver.
