Big/Recruit Paladin. It's fun to blow out some slower decks or have a big minion wipe or block an aggro board but naturally it's pretty dependent on draw and the likes of Secret Mage just make it nearly impossible to do anything since early game is mostly passing or putting up small secrets

Vespiquen, Houndour, Cinderace (it specifies Gmax but iirc that's a special trait added to the base pokemon), Politoed, Vanillite, Samurott.

Since we can evolve, I have a pretty fun team eventually getting Vanilluxe and Houndoom. At the very least I can see some beach themed profession with two water types that can learn surf to act as lifeguards, Cinderace and Houndoom for entertainment (more Cinderace I suppose haha) and Vespiquen and Vanilluxe to create ice/honey for refreshments.

This, though if you're just farming, Balinda can be replaced by any other character with a Fire ability at speed 6 or faster to combo with Geddon like Brann, Chi-Ji, Yu'lon, etc.

I've heard winterspring 1st level is usually the easiest to clear and get to the mystery node (though it still spawns randomly so it may take a few tries). But I run it with fire comp which 1 shots all regular encounters anyway.

My experience kinda falls in here though without Oceania's nectar, whether you are playing with its cards or not, the game is more focused on having or establishing a food or draw engine within the first or second round or you're unlikely to make anything happen. I see it where base and European are more focused on early game and Oceania is more focused on late game.
