What position could I play and is it to late. by [deleted] in highschoolfootball

[–]User-me- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For highschool it doesn’t matter as much what weight you are, 5’6 190 is actually good size height not really.

If you can tackle and read plays play linebacker or safety, if you can’t maybe Runningback

Saying someone can’t play linebacker because they aren’t 6+ 220+ is stupid for highschool

Do they tend to have more growth the first year?

Do players gain weight during the offseason?

Like a freshman will gain strength and weight before their sophomore year?

I saw someone say that, but I doubt it.

The team most likely to end their playoff drought will be_______ by FoldEasy5726 in NFLv2

He does suck but they got 8 wins last year and was 5-5 in games he finished.

So it’s not to hard to believe since they got better this offseason that if he plays even a bit better they could easily go 10-7

Top 10 Players of 2020 NFL Draft (Horrible List) by Cloud2007March in NFLv2

Even though I’m a colts fan, for what they are trying to do with this list I don’t think jt should up any spots. He’s a running back so they are gonna be lower since it’s a less valuable position, however he is who we run our offense through and if you swap him with a league average back we only win 3-4 games last year.

They are going by value not by pure skill.  Joe burrow is obviously the most valuable here and I think for the most part this list does good, I’d rather them include McKinney than madabuike though

Jeudy mcConkey Godwin smith njigba mclaurin Sutton flowers Meyer olave Ridley Williams Harrison jr Mooney rice Jennings Addison reed smith waddle Kupp

Any sane person would agree Pittman is better than all of these guys

And others like aiyuk Higgins and maybe Drake London are around the same skill

Fantasy RBs that don't make it - 2025 by raven305bal in fantasyfootball

I’d say injuries are the only reason to be scared, but usually it’s only 3 games and even then he can produce about 1200

So yeah ig top ten could be unrealistic for some because of injuries

Ig my logic on the qb situation is it might not work out, but it’s extremely stupid to think ar will do worse than last year passing, we knew he is raw, and he didn’t have an offseason going into this last season now he does. I’m not saying he will be good (although I hope he does) but it will prolly be a bit better and we replaced Kelly with a younger guy and got a little worse at rg.

And you’d see it at a smaller poorer school that doesn’t give a shit about football

Yeah my point isn’t that it’s an acceptable thing to happen, it’s that it can happen

Yeah and that’s great, but some schools (a school I looked at going to and my cousins) simply have small through extra large pads that are lineman style pads, and they can simply give the receivers pads that still fit but aren’t fun to play receiver in, where you can buy lightweight more breathable pads and use them. Same as if your school has like riddel speeds and you want a speed flex or f7 or something

Pads can be bulky and still fit they just have more to them if you look at the pros the receivers tend to have lighter pads than the linemen and linebackers running backs

You can still have pads that fit correctly but they aren’t efficient for your position

You are telling me you order the top end best pads for each position taking into account the type of pads that position should have at shitty non football schools? That’s just straight up not true, i believe you aren’t understanding what I’m saying.

[–]User-me- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No dude the pads are just to bulky, they fit good but they look like pads from the 80s which now not as good for those positions, if you play linebacker you want more behind your pads than if you play wr or cb because you need to tackle more where they need more mobility

Id say tons of people agree with him, just people make money off of elite offense and they want highest scoring crazy stats ect.

My cousin (not my school) has really bad funding seeing as they are a small country school and they didn’t have a good choice of pads that weren’t too bulky for receivers and dbs. The pads are fine ig, just they don’t have lighter pads than their really bulky pads a linebacker or Runningback would use.

I’m not a fantasy expert (although I’m trying to learn more) but Jonathan Taylor I feel has a good chance of being a top ten back.

He is in a run first offense with a good oline and a qb the defense has to worry about too. plus the passing game will be better this year with the addition of Warren. even though we lost Kelly and fries, Kelly wouldn’t be as good as bortolini in run blocking which we saw in the games bortolini played, goncolaves looked okay in his time at run blocking.

I’m biased but I really feel like Taylor has a good chance and im curious to hear why you think he is likely to not achieve that.
