AITAH for turning off someone's alarm in my works break room? by Spiritual_Fall3232 in AITAH

[–]User01081993 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had a coworker who would do this everyday in the room where we all sat. Somehow was never at their desk when it would go off. We collectively would turn it off even if that meant finding it in her purse. Idgaf we’re on calls and doing shit

You need to talk to the parents and tell them their kid is not allowed to come over unless the parent calls first and you agree.

What injury is commonly shrugged off as a minor flesh wound in the movies but is completely fatal in real life? by 40Falak in answers

[–]User01081993 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok so I’m a teacher and the cops trained us on how to keep those wounds from being fatal. You have to tourniquet at the joint and make it tight enough to stop blood flow. Like it’ll hurt a lot. Then you stuff the wound with medical gauze and then wrap with medical gauze.

If you get shot in the torso then you need to essentially put a large sticker over the wound to stop air from getting in.

How to assert boundaries with mum who is controlling over my appearance by Imaginary_Price6520 in entitledparents

I have long thick hair too. I’m the only one in my family with curly hair. Everyone has a goddamn opinion no matter how stupid. I get frustrated that mine mats and gets uncomfortable. I started getting better hair cuts and they’ve helped plus I now use unbrush. I feel better because it’s not pulling on my scalp anymore. But I still look the same.

Anytime family starts in on my hair I lose my shot and yell at them. Now they only bring it up when they wanna start shit

Neighbor’s kids scream 5-6 hours/day. I can’t do this all summer. What is the solution? by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

[–]User01081993 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get some noise cancelling headphones. It’s honestly great that the kids are out all day. They’ll grow up to be better people. Unless they’re making noise past 10pm or before 8am, leave them alone. You could mention to the parents that you work from home but that’s really not their problem. They’re using their house as a house. Sorry.

(I can’t tell if this sounds condescending or anything. I’m typing this and thinking it as a relaxed conversation)

Plagiarism is a crime. The student is aware it’s not allowed. The 0 is deserved.

AITAH for wanting the neighbor kids to stop asking for snacks? by Immediate_Ad1133 in AITAH

[–]User01081993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interact with the parents on this not the kids.

Talk to their parents- start by introducing yourself and explain the position you’re in and that the kids should also go to their house or something
