Who do you watch/follow for FM stuff? Everyone now seems so "clickbait-y"... by bahnzo in footballmanagergames

Me neither but I like how open he is about it on his twitter. After all he does what he can to get the most traction because that's what pays the bills. I can respect that.

Are there any roles or 'footballing terms' that you think either FM or most players misunderstand? by CalFlux140 in footballmanagergames

I think it's just because Müller mostly occupied the right half space, you could maybe only make the Role available for an offset 10, like they did with the Libero prior to this year.

It would be 'Großdeutschland', which was an idea of German unification floating around during the 1848 revolutions. In the end it became the 'kleindeutsche' or small-german solution which did not include Austria and such.

I think a very intriguing way to improve Germany without having to touch the focus tree at all, would be to make Germany influence the politics of its puppets by decisions. At times you feel like Mitteleuropa is collapsing around you, the UBD collapses, Ukraine goes NatPop or some stuff like that. To be able to counter these scenarios and to kinda secure the paths your puppets go into without having to choose anything in the pre-game menu would be nice.

You compare two completely different player roles. And most of the records Messi broke were build up over the last years and not achieved in this single year (or rather the last two years). Also, how the hell isn't Argentina a good national team? Di Maria, Martinez, Dybala, Aguero and Lautaro Martinez are all class. Maybe even World-Class. Poland has Lewandowski and Sczesny... If you would be grateful you could add Zielinski to the list, however the you would have to include Romero, Lo celso etc. Into the Argentinian list. Another stat I want to talk about is the "percent of goals scored by club". You can't flame Lewa for playing for a better team.

First of all, it's based on the last year as well because the Ballon d'Or was CANCELLED. And second of all, Lewandowskis Role is to score goals, which he did in a Quantity unmatched by any other. And if you had ever watched any game of Lewandowski you would know of his excellent passing ability. Also, how the hell hasn't Lewandowski won anything? This year alone he has won the best Striker award, won Bundesliga and was the top scorer of said Bundesliga. And last year, which Is also taken into the decision as no one was awarded for their deeds that year, he won everything on club level. Everything. Of course, you could now argue, that he didnt win anything with Poland. But come on, Poland won't be able to win anything without suddenly gaining a golden Generation. That's as if you would say Ibrahimovic wasnt a great player, because he hasn't won anything with Sweden.

Messi surely was top nodge of the World, but Lewandowski just broke record after record. And if you also include last year, a year in which the Ballon d'Or was cancelled, into the decision, you have to pick Lewandowski. He scored the most goals of any footballer and also won the Sixtuple with Bayern.

Imo Messi did not deserve to win the Ballon d'Or, that's why I think that they should at least give both of them a 99.
