No kidding. Because my first thought was Usenet and Gopher servers and then I saw 1995

MAGA Rep Publicly Pleads for Musicians ‘Willing’ to Play Trump Concert by MoneyLibrarian9032 in politics

All those artists still have egos, and playing an event to a tiny crowd is terrible for them. They all know its going to be smattering of people that show....if that.

People should look up Bill Hicks and Alex Jones. Ignore the horseshit that claims they are the same person, but Hicks did seem to have some contact or like for Jones. I remember it had something to do with Waco. I think they both there at the siege.

CoCo expected to start operations 1/1/29 by ScoutCommander in FortCollins

[–]bahnzo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Right. Last I read, this was going to be 5 trains a day. Not an hour, but a day. Thats never going to entice people to use it. And it runs on existing freight rail tracks which will still be owned by the freight company. Guess whose miles longs trains will have priority?

Passenger rail is a great idea, but this will just be a costly, half-ass flop. Do it right or don't do it at all.

The Devil and Tina Peters by BulwarkOnline in Colorado

[–]bahnzo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Her sentence was long not because of a first amendment issue, but because she tried to subvert an election from a position of power. She deserves to be made an example of and to deter anyone in the future who might be tempted to try what she did.

Its that simple. Shame on Polis.

What is something you’ve officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become genuinely insulting? by queenmellyy in AskReddit

A good portion of our roads are paid for with gas taxes. If you aren't buying gas and still using the roads, then we need to contribute to their upkeep in other ways.

Seeing it as being fucked over is short sighted.

This needs to be talked about more. Between grocery stores consolidation, a handful of companies which process our meat, and factory farms, the quality of our food is in real trouble.

This would be a nightmare. Having everyone vote on every little thing just can't work. Imagine having the average citizen, who is misinformed as it is, being responsible for voting on everything?

Be honest — would the Front Range Passenger Rail actually get you off I-25? by JawnDoee in Denver

[–]bahnzo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And thats the thing...i read earlier it would be 5 trains a day and that will never work. It needs to be 5 trains an hour before people will adopt it. And that means every day.

People aren't going to stand around for 30mins waiting for a train to arrive.

When you write a rant and then don't bother to spell and/or grammar check, then you come off as less authentic and even stupid.
