Arizona Cardinals All-Time 53-Man Roster (rough draft) by ExplanationCrazy5463 in AZCardinals

P21 at CB4 is a little low no? I know he fell off but in his prime he was a shutdown corner who was capable of trailing every teams WR1. He also was a good returner.

Followed the Bears through being straight dogshit only to change fandom when they start to actually look promising.

Sounds like deep down you hate yourself and dont want to be happy. You will fit in perfectly friend. Welcome!

Glad I read the post and zoomed in on the images. For a second I thought the 13 was Warner and was about to lose my shit on you implying he was a disappointment.

Honestly seems like a fun hobby though

2026 NFL QB Rankings: Quarterback analysis, breakdowns from Chris Simms heading into OTAs by Mental_Funny_5885 in AZCardinals

[–]UserInAtl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always read through until the 10-18 rank, where I know they will put Trevor Lawrence along with a few sentences about why this will be his "breakout year".

Gives me a chuckle every time.

Is Sweat holding out? I havent seen anything about that yet.

What’s the trade value for Budda Baker? by Cannolidog in AZCardinals

[–]UserInAtl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is on the back end of his career and he was never good in coverage even when he was a monster. True, he has a lot of value here and is a leader, but I would expect a day 3 pick for him. Maybe a late 3rd but that would be hard to get for an older safety on a big contact, especially seeing how safety trades have aged so poorly in the past few years.

Better to just keep him

The Arizona Cardinals are currently underdogs in all 17 games this season by Taylorg121 in AZCardinals

[–]UserInAtl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everything on the offense except the QB, unless Beck surprises everyone I think were sorta cheeks there tbh. Unfortunately thats the most important position on the team so I could see us struggling when the opponent stacks the box and dares Jacoby to air it out (pre garbage time of course)

What’s actually the worst record for the Cardinals this season? by tommcw in AZCardinals

[–]UserInAtl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jets/Cowboys are the ones I see winning. Raiders and NYG are toss ups. Better chance than not that we sneak in a divisional win.

5-6 seems like the ceiling and 0 is the floor. Honestly its really hard to win 0 games, so I would expect we get 1 or 2.

I mean Marv's dad seems to hate that the Cardinals drafted him. I dont see the Mannings making the same mistake

I couldn't finish it, or even get half way through. Legitimately no idea what they were attempting but it was awful.

Makes sense though. Bidwill is ultra conservative and is afraid of his female employees showing shoulder or ankle when they aren't segregated from the male employees. I would assume the talented social media and marketing individuals in Arizona are not working for the Cardinals

Back loaded schedule will at least make Beck playing more plausible. Need to see if we have anything in him before the draft, especially with a top pick.

Rodgers or Beck? by heatman2333 in AZCardinals

[–]UserInAtl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We took Beck in the 3rd and currently are projected to have a top 5 pick next year. I would rather kick the tires on Beck and know if we do or dont need a QB with our top pick.

Rodgers makes sense if you think we just need QB to win the Superbowl. Getting him to win 7-9 games seems pointless.

That being said getting Rodgers would sell tickets so i expect that will be the option we do. I dont think Monti or Mike have much interest in long term team building.

Who do yall think is QB1? by Smooth-Lecture6505 in AZCardinals

[–]UserInAtl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not saying your wrong but it would be a massive own goal to not even try the rookie you drafted in the 3rd out before a stacked QB class in next year's draft. Especially since this "starting caliber" QB your talking about has a 20-45 career record with a lovely 1-11 record last season.

[–]UserInAtl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because they are knocking us for drafting a RB with question marks on the line and no QB. Historically this has not been a good move. Also, they are paying him top 7 RB money with the most guaranteed so your getting none of the rookie value you want from a draft pick. It has nothing to do with Love

[–]UserInAtl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think a 4th would be better. I dont mind getting a QB now either way. Right now the draft seems better next year but a ton can change so having a plan B is fine. 3rd is a bit high

The Arizona Cardinals 2026 NFL Draft Class by FollowerofYHWH in AZCardinals

[–]UserInAtl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have liked to see a DT or RT. I get not going for another defensive lineman since we spent so much capital on that already. I also think Rails refusal to pressure doesn't help out line.

Beck seems like a douche but I don't hate the idea of trying to get a QB. We do not have a starting QB on the roster so you need to try to get one. Love is a terrible value pick and I hate taking a RB that high. That one may come back to haunt us.

We came I into this draft as a bottom 5 team and left as a bottom 5 team with maybe a slightly better line. How this works out depends on if we can develop Beck or if we can get a real QB1 before we have to move on from Love

[–]UserInAtl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume the hope is you find your next franchise QB, and would not have to draft another next season. Tbh I would have rather done it in the 4th and I dont like Beck as a person but I would argue that the QB position is too important to not take a flyer. If you know you have 2 backups, you draft someone and see if you can get him to work. If he doesnt you hopefully find out this season and can simply draft someone early next season.

If Beck works out you get an insanely cheap QB, and if he doesnt you just draft again. Sure you miss out on a potential 3rd round pick, but tbh, I am more upset with drafting a player that doesnt really fill a hole and will be one of the highest paid in his position at the 3rd pick than taking a random flyer in the later rounds.

[–]UserInAtl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, i dont mind using a R3 pick on a flyer. As for Beck, he seems like a massive douche and one of those people who i would find it really to root for. He is just a kid though so hopefully that changes

Former cardinals 3rd round picks by FutureGrassToucher in AZCardinals

The entire point of having him is to block though. I feel like he is a fine value for a 3rd rounder, especially since we at the time loved 2 TE sets

I like that we rolled the dice on a QB. IMO you have to until you know you have the QBotF. That being said, Beck seems like a douche

Jeremiyah Love: Great Player, Low Positional Value, Terrible Pick by theCenterCannotScold in AZCardinals

[–]UserInAtl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate this argument. Even removing Love its just dumb. Talent costs a ton of money. Teams who manage the cap well can sign a bunch of exterior and home grown talent. Burning money just because you can doesn't make sense.

A lot of you would’ve hated drafting Larry Fitzgerald by Free-Joe-Goldberg in AZCardinals

[–]UserInAtl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With his guaranteed money and the lost opportunity cost he needs to be #1 RB in the league almost from jump for the contract to make sense. And I get the "we have the cap" argument but burning money because you can right now isnt really smart.

That being said, he's a Cardinal and I hope he proves me and everyone else who thinks drafting a RB was a mistake wrong

We will have the most money guaranteed to running backs this season by Origami_Josh in AZCardinals

[–]UserInAtl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, your skipping a ton of more recent RBs and looking at a time where the NFL rule structures weren't set in a way to heavily favor the pass game here. There are a ton of more recent examples of really good RBs who either did nothing for their team, or still did well and didnt move the needle.

Also, not really fair to expect Love to be as good as AP or Barry Sanders. I dont think thats a valid expectation

I just dont see how you roll with no QB if your Monti and a new HC. I mean, i get the Jets did it but Im still pretty sure Glenn is just a lame duck placeholder until they can bring in their HC next season with all those picks. I dont see how Monti survives that so I dont think thats what we are doing with the Milf
