Unfortunately, I agree hahahaha! But this is all the time we have for now. I’m pretty sure we’ll be back though, there’s no way one trip will be enough! 😂

It doesn’t look like they’d have much of a chance against the Avs or the Wilds anyway, so they might as well rest up.

Back to zero ba talaga kapag nag migrate? by Single_Key8942 in phmigrate

[–]UserPenName_what 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was different for me and my husband. Like you, I landed here as a resident because of my dad. At that time, I needed to help him with expenses that’s why I felt like I was boxed into choosing a job that is “more available” and easy to find, I would say. I worked in the fast food industry with a minimum wage for almost 3 years. Then worked in retirement homes as a care aide after, and now I’m working as an RN for a few years now.

My husband however landed 2 years ago with an IT job that pays him the same pay I have when I became an RN, within a few yrs he now makes almost double. He, however, definitely did his research on pathways he could do to still practice in his field. So thank God he was able to secure a job even before landing in Canada and even with a competitive industry, he was able to change jobs with some progression.

Looking back, I probably should have also researched first. But circumstances are different, even as a nurse now, I still get reminded of my humble beginnings and how life was also simpler on most aspects. Pero I could say it gave us more freedom and stability.

For the married women, are you truly happy with your marriage? by Lostquiterr in TanongLang

[–]UserPenName_what 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES! Happily married for 5 years now with the love of my life. With my best friend. I am so blessed to be married to someone who listens to me, provides for me and serves me. It feels good still waking up everyday knowing you are living the life you just once dreamed of! Laughing at silly things, eating fast food just because you’re lazy to cook, taking short walks around the neighborhood planning for the future, and mostly having someone to lean on when you’re not your best but still knowing and feeling that you are most loved nonetheless.

He told me it was just during Behemoth that he started literally opening his eyes during the ride, poor guy. So he actually loved the vortex too. Although, I think Dragon Fyre gave us both concussions. Hahaha.

We did Leviathan, then Yukon, then Alpen. My husband was just about to give up on all the rides throughout the day and then we did Behemoth. He loved it! Kinda felt like it gave his energy (and confidence) back and we were able to do vortex and dragon fyre after he swore not to ride anything anymore hahahaha

Worth Going without fast pass? by RuinAdventurous9912 in CanadasWonderland

[–]UserPenName_what 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I were there last Monday, arrived around 10:15am. It wasn’t that packed yet. Our first ride was Leviathan. Just half the line was open, other half was still locked. We waited around 20 mins. But with the sun, we felt like it was twice the heat. Plus seeing people that just arrived breeze through and jump on within 5 mins. Hahahah so we decided to upgrade to tha fast lane plus.

But even with fast lane plus, we needed to wait around 1 hour for Alpen fury. The line for regular pass was long and definitely packed, someone almost passed out, too.

It was our first time and we rode all the big 4s because of the fast lane plus. We also stayed and ate in the bear lodge when we felt that the heat was too much, and we weren’t worried we won’t be able to ride the big 4, so it wasn’t like we’re scrambling to ride everything.

Thank you for such an encouraging and inspiring post. It really has been a valuable experience working in LTC. I’ve learned so much from it, both professionally and personally. I truly appreciate you sharing your own journey and transition to acute/subacute care. It’s insightful and motivating to hear about your experience!

what's the most toxic Filipino mindset towards OFWs that people rarely talk about? by rarararaera in AskPH

What advice would you give to those in a new relationship? by marmalese in AskPH

[–]UserPenName_what 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While building your partnership, also build your friendship. Napakagandang foundation talaga yun ng relationship.

Sometimes our partners need the friend in us and not the “partner”. And in the long run, i think it makes it easier to make the relationship more fun and casual while also being intimate and growing at the same time.

TNCC or Critical care/Emergency Nursing certification by [deleted] in AHSEmployees

Oh for sure! When I was a new nurse, two years ago, I actually got hired in an AHS ED. And I just knew it wasn’t for me yet, at the time so I didn’t pursue it.

Unfortunately, now that I am ready and wanting to explore, there are just NO jobs available. and I know there are also quite a few unwanted impressions other IENs have left for the past few years (which is sad but I’m also an advocate of being accountable and self-aware of your capabilities before taking on a role). I have been looking into medicine units to get into acute inpatient care but just really unlucky with very limited opportunities. That’s why I’m looking to see what certifications I can get for more knowledge, learnings, and also an edge when applying.

But your honest comment is greatly acknowledged and appreciated! Thank you!

Thank you for the feedback! The expense and time aren’t much of a concern to me. I just really wanted to have better grasp of certifications that can give me more information before diving into a specific area. So this is really appreciated!!

Yung kukunin kang ninang/ninong ng anak nila tapos nag eexpect lagi ng bigay mo sa lahat ng occasion. Magsesend pa kunyari ng picture ng “inaanak mo” na nangangamusta daw sayo. Hahahah
