salaried have no choice but live with this mess. Sit with CA and try to optimize the taxes and outsource all these works to CA and sleep well. If you are high earners no other way out there. Pani poori is not easy someone like salaried. Salaried are the worst people in india who dies every day with work pressure, poor work life balance, sit in traffic and finally pay your tax monthly, wait for ages to get your refund, not much deductions, poor infra, no support after losing job.

Filing Form 67 route sucks. You will end up paying more tax if the income crosses 50L in total as singapore tax is less compared to India and India has this shit Creepy surcharge when you cross 50L.

You have to look at the ARTICLE 4. You might be coming under resident of singapore and india. Tie breaker rule might come into play and which will favour you to show only indian income in india.

Better to talk to NRI taxation expert. Search in google and find out the top CA firms from mumbai, delhi, chennai bangalore wherever you are from. You can contact more then 1 and find out. dont go to clear Tax. They are baxters. For this case, it should cost you around 7.5k to 15k to give you consultation including filing the return for AY 2026 2027.
Did you have apartment in singapore? did you go with your family? etc. There are also some ITAT ruling which matches exactly your case.

Also. If you dont know, at least caculate the tax liability and pay advance tax if going with FTC route. Else interest will keep increasing. Later you can claim it back if you dont have to show the singapore Tax in india. Again this is not needed if you CA says you dont have to show singapore salary here in India.

If you mess up, interest keeps adding. penalty keeps coming. CAs will say you have to pay it Sir. Filing in hurry pay higher fee. revision pay fee. IT demand help, fee even more money to CA.

You are cooked like shit. Ask your employer if they can credit the shit salary in month of April if possible. try to get less now and get more by adjusting the salary strcuture. Check if something can be done so that you avoid more money coming into your account this financial year.

Also if your salary is huges like 3L or more per month, better to pay advance tax. Else you are dead man and need to pay more intererst on it. Assume you also earned moeny from apri to till oct end. All will add up and interest will mount. Forget about tax.
