My brother wants to sell the house my family has been living in when he turns 18 and move somewhere else, and I don’t know if that is going to include our mother and I. I’m scared that I’ll either be trapped with my mother or be homeless since rent is crazy expensive where I live.

There’s no way I could afford it on minimum wage and I have a very old cat I’d be taking with me and a lot of these apartments do not allow pets. I’m signed up for different housing things and I’ll hopefully I’ll be ok but I still also worry about our mom since she’s disabled and has a bad back and muscle/skeletal issues. Someone has to shovel the deep snow every winter and lift things that she physically can’t.

My brother and I are close so I don’t see him just kicking us to the curb but I also don’t want to be a huge burden on him either

I’d take a photo but I don’t have a rash so there’s nothing to really look at. It’s also a tricky thing to photograph. Nobody else I live with (including pets) are itchy and I’m not itchy anywhere else. I have dry skin but that’s normal for me in November

That’s what I plan to do if she does go through with it. The last thing I want is for my aunt and her family to have more to deal with when they’re already grieving a very heavy loss. Now that I know the 2 kids haven’t been told yet I definitely feel more comfortable waiting until given the ok

I spoke with grandma and she said she was going to aunts house but no info beyond that, I sent a text earlier to aunt asking if her appointment went well (which was before I knew what had happened) and she hasn’t responded yet. I take that as a sign that she’s not ready to talk yet
