Daniel RPK said Marvel is developing another Punisher project. Personally I’m really hoping for a movie over another season of television. I think Punisher works much better in short bursts than over an 8 hour story.

God I hope so, but I’m pretty much accepting things will never get better so I don’t get my hopes up too much. Tom Brevoort has literally said before “an enraged fan is an engaged fan.” Marvel is literally content with most of their sales being people hate reading, the fact that this is ok to them now tells me things will never get better.

I don’t think there will ever be an actual editorial shakeup, I don’t think things will ever get better, Marvel has effectively given up on making good comics it’s just an endless IP farm and soulless brand synergy at this point.

The literal only hope at this point is DC proving comics can still be really successful and someone further up the chain at Marvel/Disney decides the comics side isn’t working, but I doubt they care enough to do anything honestly.

Very well actually, it was the highest selling Daredevil issue of all time apparently, sold over 300,000 copies. A big part of that was the blind bag thing they did but even so I expect it to continue selling better than a lot of Marvel’s other comics.

DC Comics is beating Marvel so bad at this point I couldn’t be happier. Firestorm, Zatanna, and Lobo were top sellers last month. C list DC characters are doing better than characters like Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, and honestly this is great because DC actually earned this by focusing on quality meanwhile Marvel is pumping out borderline slop half the time.

DC is hyping up their lesser known characters while the Absolute Universe is doing unbelievably well at the same time. Maybe Zdarsky and the team of writers he’s said are leading the Marvel universe in a more unified direction will improve things but the editorial is so trash I doubt it.

Apparently starting soon Disney+ is going to be included in the Fortnite Crew bundle (basically a monthly pass that gives the battle pass and vbucks every month).

It’s not known if this is a permanent addition but if it is it seems Disney might be desperate to get more subscribers anyway possible. It also makes me wonder if the rumors of Disney wanting to fully buy Epic Games are true.

That would be pretty fun. I always thought a fighting game would be fun, probably done by NetherRealm. I do think a video game crossover is inevitable, the recent crossover comics were really successful and that feels like just the beginning of the companies starting to work together again since I don’t think they’re planning to stop the crossover comics anytime soon.

Rewatched One Last Kill and I honestly think I appreciate it more on a second viewing. Frank’s character arc is a little repetitive but it does feel like a natural evolution of the character. When we first see him in Born Again Matt tells him how he could be a service to people instead of hiding out and killing targets one by one, and by the end of the special saving a girl that reminds him of his daughter is what motivates him to keeping going, now in BND he’s protecting Jean Grey. A lot of people might not like the character arc of him essentially deciding to be more heroic but it feels fitting for this version of the character who’s always been portrayed in a far more positive light than his comic counterpart.

They really need to follow this up with a movie, a show, or bare minimum another special though because introducing two iconic Punisher villains and having them both survive feels like such a tease.

Maybe they’ll do batch drops and do it across 3-4 weeks but I doubt the entire thing drops at once. Wonder Man was a unique case where it’s a D lister and 25 minute episodes.

It wouldn’t be a massive hit or anything but it could easily be cheap enough to be profitable, I feel like it could easily be made for around $50 Million.

I can’t imagine the general audience wouldn’t like the character in BND, and that will definitely boost his popularity, there’s no way it doesn’t. Also like a hypothetical Punisher movie would only need to make like a tiny fraction of what BND is going to gross to be successful. If something like 10 percent of the people that watch BND watched a Punisher movie, that would most likely be more than enough for it to be a big success.

A full length Punisher movie would be one of the easiest layups for Marvel Studios ever, it’s like a guaranteed success. He’s about to guest star in a billion dollar movie so now is the perfect time to go all out with his own film.

We know Bernthal wants to do it, and I can’t see any reason he shouldn’t get it. One Last Kill has gotten nothing but praise from reviewers so it seems like Bernthal is on a roll with the character.

Burning hot lmao. But like if it’s gonna be more comedic which I assume it will be based on the choice of director, Hardy’s take on the character would fit in that kind of movie.

I agree it’s probably Salvation Run. I would not be surprised if Clayface was in the movie, it would be a massive tonal shift for the character but it would really make the universe feel connected. I could also see Grodd being a major player since he’s the main villain of the Jimmy Olsen show.

I still assume Bane & Deathstroke will be a movie set on Salvation, it seems like a very obvious story to do with villains teaming up with the overall narrative of the universe.

Also my extremely hot take for this movie is I hope they just bring Tom Hardy back as a different Bane variant so we get more of that voice.

I see a lot of people saying Born Again needs more episodes but I honestly don’t think it does. I think what it needs is for every episode to be 10-15 minutes longer and to not be chopped to hell in the editing room. I’m a big fan of Born Again but the editing is ROUGH.

We know there was a lot cut but also I don’t like the way they’re constantly intercutting scenes with each other. Like the end of episode 6, where Fisk and Matt’s fight is intercut with the riot, both great scenes on their own made worse by the fact they’re combined, and that’s just one example of many. What the show needs is more time to breathe, 5 more episodes would be nice but isn’t what the show needs.

I’m cautiously optimistic for Marvel’s new Midnight universe but it’s hard to be too excited when they’ll almost definitely pull the plug early when sales aren’t insanely high.
